I dunno, it took him 25 years to find somebody like me (his first girlfriend)....It might take another 25, or a lifetime...to find somebody that "met" his criteria.. (dont ask me what his criteria is) - I dont even know...

I would want her to have someone to comfort and care for her right away. But I'd hope they would both have enough sense never to marry. That really ruined her the last time.

They say a year is considered proper, but I told her if some guy comes along earlier than that, ready to dry her tears, then let the critics focus on someone else. Most who'll criticize haven't been through the experience anyway.

As long as he would be happy, I would not mind how long or short it took.

His life shouldn't end just because I die. I want my future husband should I ever have one to be happy, even after I'm dead. He can go on and marry someone else, as long as they both treat each other well.

I don't know---the grieving process is so different for everyone. At least a year, I guess, though he'd probably take 2 years or longer to get engaged.
