My sister bought me one over 30 years ago and I still have it. That is how I taught myself how to cook. I remember spending hours sticking those round sticky things on the holes of the pages so I wouldn't wreck the pages.

I've got my Mom's. I remember cooking from it a lot when I was a kid. It's got a lot of hand written notes in it, not to mention a lot of hand written recipees on cards and papers stuck in the pages as well.

I used my mom's when I was growing up and got my own after I was married. But I also got a copy of Joy of Cooking for a wedding present and it's a superior cookbook. I wouldn't be without by 1972 copy of Joy of Cooking. My Betty Crocker and Better Homes & Garden cookbooks are there for memories mostly.
