  • as a matter of fact yes
  • WHO ELS WIL???... duhhh!!!... peace!!!
  • Without them we could not exist.
  • They sure do..without them we would not be.
  • Only if their names are Gomez and Morticia :)
  • Only if their names are Gomez and Morticia :)
  • Absolutely. They have your attention in your most impressionable years and set the foundation for the person you will become. Some parents are very good with it, others are not.
  • Of course! You don't think the schools are going to teach children right and wrong, manners, or how to carry your self with respect do you?
  • As emotional and mental beings that survive mostly by our senses, it seems at times as though they don't. But I find in my own experiences anyway... That when you ignore issues, especially with other people...It tends to come back continously until you do deal with them. I don't know if you have ever read any of my responses about my father? But if I can start talking to hm again... There is hope for anyone concerning their parents. It comes down to a matter of your personal ability to cut others out of your life and still be able to deal with your issues less their influence. My parents WERE the totality of my issues. I found that after running for so long, after my mother died...I almost had to deal with my father. and I have, and as a result...I am healing myself.
  • Absolutely, you start learning from your parents the day you are born. I believe that your parents play a significant roll in every part of your life.
  • yes parents do matter but not all parents think their children matter.
  • They definitely do. Everyone goes through a period where their parents seem like the dumbest people on earth, but take it from me, eventually you will realize that they have their childrens best interests at heart. I was very blessed with my parents, who have both died. I'd give anything to have them back with me now.......
  • Parent (should) teach and mold children to make wise decisions regarding which peers to allow to influence them. You only have a very few short years to do this. I think this lady didn't take all factors in to consideration. This would be an impossible experiment because EVERYONE has a parent like figure in their life...even if they only watch them from a distance.
  • With out question. It's a shame more parents didn't feel as strongly about this. I see so many parents ambivalent about what their kids are doing or exposed to. A good parent is the great equalizer to all the crap kids are exposed to. Someone has to look out for their best interest and at least I can honestly say I do.
  • Of course. No one in the world will love u like ur parents, and no one in the world will always be there for u and be as understanding.
  • Very much so. They mold you into what you are. Of course there are exceptions but you have a much better chance with good kind loving parents
  • Absolutely, preferably two, a male and female. A child needs the guidance of both a male and female parent. A friend of mine once said, "i use to dress like a girl as a child. if my mother had beat the hell out of me and told me this was wrong, i would be a different person today". he only had his mother and my friend is a male. Both parents DO matter.
  • Absolutely, parents are the most important influence in a child's life and all teh evidence shows that the traditional two-parent family is the optimal environment for raising children.
  • parents brought me to the world.whatever i have learnt,i learnt from my parents.whether it is peace time or war time, parents do matter.
  • Yes they matter more than you think.
  • More than we often know until they are gone.
