  • Unfortunately, AT&T will not activate other SIM card for you other than a 3G SIM card, so even if you were to get a hold of an older SIM card, you still need AT&T to activate it and since they will not (in accordance with their policies), you would not be able to do it. With AT&T as your carrier, I would recommend that you consider getting an iPhone. This is the original device and much better than the Chinese CECT. If you don't have AT&T, then getting one of these clone phones might make sense, but with AT&T as your provider, I would recommend an iPhone. I hope this helps. Thanks. SukiSue
