I am, but perhaps some others need to be reminded. The Internet seems like the perfect place for cowards to come out and play. There are consequences to disrespecting, and even abusing, others - thankfully.
-
I didn't know that anyone even cared... Don't get me wrong, I believe they SHOULD care, but with our laws and government, their has to be a certain "Death quota." met for them to pay attention to anything important. Whatever the punishment, Im certain that it isin't quite harsh enough or people wouldn't do it as much as they still do.
-
I had no idea but it is an awful thing I am happy you made me people aware of it by your Q :)
-
I am..however, the Harrassers either don't know or more likely don't care. It's like a woman afraid for her life getting a Court Order to keep her husband away! Right..she's just as dead as one without the Court Order! :(
-
No, I'm not. And since I'm not aware of that law, I also don't know how it would be applied. For example, if the supposed "bully" is from Italy, and the supposed "victim" is from the USA, how would the victim run after the bully?
-
I wasn't, but I'd never resort to bullying...
-
I wasnt aware of this, I dont know if its against the law in the UK but it should be, I've no time what so ever for bullies, they should be barred from the internet and everywhere else in life, but thats just my opinion!!!
-
Yes, unfortunately some people take no notice of that law.:)
-
I am totally aware of it. I know of a person that went to court and was fined $180,000 for this. This is not bull. I can post a link but it is quite easy to find. Google man found guilty and fined $180,000 for cyber bullying. You will find it.
-
I think that that law shouldn't really be put into use (prosecution etc.) until a drastic situation comes up and cyber bullying is the root cause. I.E. The girl that committed suicide because of that one girl and her mom.
-
So if I called someone retarded on the internet, I could get in trouble? UH-OH :S
-
Yes , That is a good thing Some people don't have any coo-the;)!!
-
to bad parents don’t monitor their kids internet like they should. if a kid, under 18 is getting bullied then the parents shouldn’t be letting their kids go to that site. grow up people, they are your kids, take responsibility
-
yeah, i read that story about the girl commiting suicide over that myspace deal. sad very sad.
-
Yes, and I applaud it.
-
Yep and here is a handy list of each law/related laws by State for the U.S. where applicable. http://www.haltabuse.org/resources/laws/index.shtml
-
Oh yeah? Well, what are you going to do about, shorty? Huh?!? **pushes Sweet T** What are you going to do about it? .... Nothing.... that's what I thought! Now gimme your milk money!!!
-
I wish I knew how to prosecute.
-
no, i was not but i have no worries. i might make them laugh lots and bully my friends with the "wheeeeeeeeeee" but that is as a far as i go :P +5
-
Yes. I'm not sure if I agree with it. Why not try and ban real life bullies?
-

-
