I thought about this recently and the answer is no. I don't donate blood nor will I ever accept a blood transfusion so my blood type is really a moot point. Oh, not having kids either so no need to worry about RH factor.

O+ - the universal donor. My boyfriend, on the other hand, doesnt know which I find unacceptable for a grownup. For shame.

O+ Actually weeooweeoo, O- is the universal donor. The absence of the Rh factor on the blood cells makes it safe for all people to accept. O+ donors can only donate to other positives (A+, B+, AB+, O+) but not to any negatives, since the immune system of the negative recipient would attack the Rh protein on the surface of your cells, causing hemolytic anemia.

My blood type is A+ I have what they call "baby's blood. There is a virus that a high percentage of people carry that I do not have which means my blood can be used for newborn babies.

I'll answer that with a question of my own: Which blood type do mosquitos find most attractive? I actually saw this proven on a T.V program. All the blood types were represented, and one of each put their arms into plastic boxes full of hungry skeeters. My blood type was the most popular!!

I'm O- the universal donor. Need good, clean blood, I'm your woman. The American Red Cross calls me every eight weeks. I had to defer myself for a time because they were hauling so much out, I became anemic!

I believe A positive...cause both my parents say they are A positive. Although, that doesnt really mean anything cause if they are both carriers for the O type theres a roughly 25% chance I'm type O. Hey srry just a cool little piece of info. (In the ABO group) Both type A and type B are dominant genes (codominance) and type O is recessive, meaning that both genes from your parents must be O. If your genotype is AA or AO, you're type A, if it's BB or BO, you're type B, if its AB then (duh) you're type AB, and if you're OO you're type O. I could go into all the wierd confusing details but I'll spare you all the boredom.

Not sure, but I think it's positive. When I was pregnant I have to get a rogam shot for RH.
