As a kid I was even afraid of my own shadow:). the thing I was most afraid of was dogs because a few of them had chased me when I was very little. Now, no. I am not afraid of dogs or my own shadow. :~)

Worms...I can be near them now, I just don't want to touch one.

Family (most memorably my parents) dying at night in their sleep and me waking up the next morning and finding them. Nah am not scared anymore it's part of life I suppose

I was afraid of the lads that use to drive around and do hand brake turns up at th shops and no Im not as scared of them at 20 :)

When I was a kid I was afraid of vampires. I'm not afraid of them anymore.

I got scared of swimming or being in water deeper than my knees since I was 13....I had a close call with drowing. I'm now 16 and still won't swim. But it's also 'cause I hate wearing swim suits lol

Shadows shaped like people or monsters but couldn't find a reasonable explanation for what was making the shadows. I don't really have this problem anymore but it would still scare me if I saw one.

My parents would not let me watch Seasame Street because I was 'fraid of Cookie monster. No, I now like Cookie very much.

I used to watch x-files with my dad when i was younger, and even though i was terrified i would still watch it because he liked it too. I was a weird kid. haha.

i was afraid of my family, now i don't let them have that power over me. they were/are very overbearing people who didn't like me, now i'm 34 and they like me even less ( if that's possible ) i haven't seen them in years, now i'm not afraid of them, just glad i don't have to be around them anymore.

From the time I was 5 til about 8, I was scared shitless of thunder and lightening, LOL! We had to walk to school and I would make it about a block and always run home crying like a little wimp! Needless to say, I never attended school during those days. I have no idea why I was so terrified of them because I love them now; I think they're really cool.

Snakes Yes Grew up in the country and there were lots of them around. Not in the country now, but still can't handle the idea of running into one. lol

I was always afraid to get into bed. I thought there were alligators under my bed that would grab my legs. Sometimes I would jump from as far away as possible onto the bed. It was safe when I was on it but not getting into it. Very strange.

Sometimes when my mom and her boyfriend got into a fight she would say just before leaving " I am not coming back" and then I would worry that I would never see her again. Now I am a grandma so, no I don't worry about that anymore... and havent for a long time.

The monster that lived under the bed! Even now sometimes I'll turn of the light and leap into bed as fast as I can. I'm 30, I know their is nothing under there, but still just in case...

I was afraid of the dark. I had to sleep with the closet light on. It wasn't until I was in my late 20's that I started feeling comfortable sleeping in the dark.

As a child I was afraid of women's undergarments, and no I'm no longer afraid. ><

As a kid I was afraid of throwing up and seeing a person throw up, it wasn't as bad back then though as it is now. Now I see a counselor for , it's horrible.

Mainly, the dark. I was a very scaredy little girl and I was always whining about something scaring me. Now I'm afraid of not living my life to the fullest, but I'm doing something about it!

The mosters coming to get me when I flushed the toilet... and the skeleton pulling me under the bed... and men- sometimes that one still scares me

The boogeyman hiding under my bed or closet. Then, it was fantasy thinking.

Losing my mother. I was less afraid as I got older and learned how to be independent. She died when I was 30. Now the only thing I fear is that my son might not make it to heaven.
