  • Try eating "calcium" tablets - 1 to 2 tablets 4 to 5 times a day. The best are from "Novartis" under the brand name of "Calcium Sandoz". They really help in growing hair, nails and strengthen the bones.
  • Nothing really. Any supplements won't make your nails grow faster but rather what you do grow out stronger. Toenails take up to 1 yr to grow out so "Be Patient". :D
  • Swimming or soaking my feet daily make my nails grow faster. Right now I'm growing out 2 big toenails I lost from blood blisters under the toenails from running. They are growing faster now that I am swimming everyday.
  • Use Biotin for nail growth, it is part of the Vitamin B family.

  • Mine fell off too! Except 1/3 of it. It sucks I know so I'm right there with you. When I heard it takes a year I freaked out. I'm a swim coach so everyone sees my toes. Just have to bare with it. Take a calcium supplements and drink lots of milk. Swim and even get in the tanning booth. Surprisingly you get a lot of vitamin d from uv rays and helps bone growth even healthier nails! :)
  • i see a lot of people saying calcium supplements, and that isnt going to do much for this problem. to really jumpstart your nail and hair growth (they are both derived from keratin, so both are affected) you should head to your local store and pick up a supplement called MSM (methylsulfonylmethane). this supplement is good for your joint cartilage, and is also used by vets for various animals such as race horses. I have taken this three different times, the first for knee pain. the other two were to make my hair grow faster. while taking it, i had to trim my nails at least once a week, because they grew 3 times faster. this is the way to go if you REALLY want to speed up that toenail.
