Would you travel the world alone and hope to meet some nice people along the way or like me, prefer to take good company with you as foreign places can be rather lonely at times?

I would probably take at least one person with me. Together we could meet some nice people along the way.

I would never travel alone. It's funny because I'm not the kind of person who can't be alone: I'm generally anti-social and can comfortably spend a whole day alone or more. I don't often feel the need to socialize, and if I accidentally make too many plans in a week I'll feel exhausted by the end. But travelling, no I'd prefer to have one or two close friends. I'd be too nervous of what could happen, otherwise.
