No i wouldnt have tasted hunger myself and its not very nice so i could'nt not give them something.
-
No, I've been blessed and there is always something in my frig to eat. I could find something for them and if given time prepare enough for a small crowd to eat.
-
If they wanted food I would give them something, but if they asked for money to buy food I would not. I've heard that story too often from drunks who then spend the money on cheap booze.
-
Absolutely not. Anyone is welcome to dine at my table.
-
Nope. I would atleast give some biscuits to them.
-
no never.
-
No - I would definitely find something to give them.
-
If they were really starving... yea, sure. I'm nice.
-
No, not if I had food in the house, and I'm sure I could find something. But if they want some money, they are out of luck. I don't donate cash.
-
Of course I wouldn't turn them away.
-
Of course not. If someone seems to be down on their luck and truly needs something I can help with, I will give it to them. I was close to that point several times in my own life and know the desperation it entails. The thing about giving someone you don't know money is that you have no real idea what they're going to do with it. Actually, this doesn't matter. It's the intention of YOUR heart when you give it that matters.
-
Of course not. I'm lucky enough to be able to spare some food, so I'd definitely feed them. What kind of person would deny food to a starving person?
-
NO
-
No, of course Id feed him, but he would have to stay outside.
-
Nope ...never :-) !
-
have done many times. friends, relatives, neighbours, strangers.
-
Sure would turn them down...someone was murdered *on my floor* yesterday...20 stab wounds and the perp hasn't been caught. No motive, no suspects. No way in hell am I even opening the door to someone I don't know.
-
Not at all and I don't think you'd find anyone who would.
-
Of course not.
-
No I would provide them with something to eat. I would have to be very greedy to not to do so.
-
Never
-
I don't think I would let them into my home..but i would certainly provide them with something to eat or drink..to go!
-
Ten years ago I did just that. The woman was afraid to even open the door. She gave me 2 dollars and yelled at me to get away. or shed call the police. Hey she was wacky--I left. I went to Burger King and got something--cant remember what. I feel most would give some food. I would today give some food. Ten years is a long time if you are me. Im a person who is slow at everything--in a world that is fast.
-
oh no... might be an angel in disguise and in any case i could not turn down a person in need i would feed them and try to help them in any way i could. +5
-
No
-
No
-
No. I would make them a meal and send them on their way with the leftovers.
-
Of course not.
-
They don't have to be more than peckish for me to feed them.
-
If my wife was there she would scream Send him away Send him away (or her) but maybe If I was alone I might feed the person maybe?
-
Nope if they were starving and in need of a meal I'd gladly share whatever I had at the time. But I will admit unless they had a so called invisiable sign or looked really hungry I would be a bit leary of them. But I'd still feed them and send them on their way. They could be just down on luck
-
No - I would make them a hot meal, let them bathe and then take them to get support, whether it be a homeless shelter, benefit advice or what ever - I certainly wouldn't shut the door - it has probably taken that person a huge amount of courage to knock at the door - i would never give money but I would definately support them into getting help - maybe one day I'll be in that situation and hope that someone offers me support
-
No. Because i don't let people stave, it would be inhumane if someone would ignore a staving person.
-
nope i would send them to the soup kitchen down the street.
-
id give him a bag of top ramen and a cold beer
-
no, i would give them something.
-
Because I am a Republican, I think every person should take care of them self. I would recommend this person find a job right away to earn the money for food. And then by having this job, the starving person could pay premiums on his health insurance so he could see a doctor who could tell him he is starving to death. (Of course I would help someone obviously truly in need.)
-
Always. "The house you live in will never fall down - if you pity the stranger who stands at the gate".
-
Never. That takes a lot of courage and desperation combined to come to someones door asking for food. i would have em wait outside and i'd make em a sandwich and give em some chips and soda and stuff. as long as it wasnt late at night, if it was i honestly most likely would not answer the door.
-
sorry ignore this:)
-
I would turn my dog around because he always over-reacts... then I would say go get the free gov cheese... I am not too proud to beg now that they took my ability to work away!
-
Certainly not, I would welcome them and put them to work straight away on my barrels, all of which need new staves fitted.
-
No, I never have and I never will. They will have a full belly of the best I have and I'll make sure they're warm before they leave.
-
i might give them something but if i dont know them i might not invite them in
-
No, I've shared with the hungry many times. But I'd also tell them about the church down the road that gives food and suggest they apply for food stamps
-
Is a punch in the face classed as "turning down ?"
-
I live in an apt. There is no way he or she could get into the building unless somebody let him or her in. If some the man or woman came in that would mean the person would be in front of my apt.door. Would never let a stranger inside. my place. I want to help without jeopardizing my safety. I would tell about the nearby "Food not Bombs"program. They give free vegan food to needy people. FNB is fortunately a blocks from me.
