This is not as easy a question as you might think that it is..First of all you have to know what Chinese language you are speaking (saying you speak chinese is a little like saying you speak European) I would guess that this word is either cantonese or mandarin..If it is mandarin there are 4 tones and a neutral to every syllable...I have to know what tone each syllable is to even guess what the character is..I have to know what it means to be able to make certain the character is correct as well..The same sound can have more than one character...AND the same character can have more than one sound. Confused yet? Jia li in one combination of tones may mean 'inside my home' (sort o short for jia limian)..but if this is someone's name it gets even more difficult. In short you need a native chinese speaker (I am not) or someone to help you with this one....Trying to figure it out over the internet is very difficult. Do you know what the 'Jia-li' is supposed to mean...Do you know anyone who is Chinese that you can ask?..Sorry not to be of more help to you:(
