Not typically. I'll sign on specifically if I am expecting to chat with someone in particular, but I find everyday "background" chatting is too addictive, distracting, and time-consuming.

Most everyday. I chat with my girlfriend and with a few other people.

Very few times, I used to AIM a lot many years ago when I was on AOL, then I stopped after a while.

I never really liked AIM... I use MSN pretty much every day. Might use Yahoo from time to time if I know someone wants me on that one. :D

I prefer IRC to tell the truth, but I use trillian which includes AIM for people that arn't into IRC for whatever reason.

AIM.... no. I do IM and I use Pidgin which logs into my AIM account, but my friends are all Y!, Gtalk, MSN, or ICQ, so that AIM account is pretty useless to me.

Yes... AIM My kids, my father, and some friends. And MSN Messager with another friend. Used to ICQ, but everyone dumped it when they sold it and stopped supporting it.

I use Pidgin and talk to folks on AIM. But it's rare I have anyone I want to talk to. I like pidgin cuz it uses hardly any system resources and it's portable so i can take it to work.

I do use it every once in a while. I personally do not prefer it, but have certain friends that use it, so that's why I have it.
