• you ran out of oil and the engine seized. The pistons are prolly welded to the cylinders being air cooled. when the oil light came on should've pulled off the road, and shut that engine down.
  • Sounds like you had a problem with the oil system. Probably, the adapter slowed the circulation too much and there wasn't enough in the crank case or cylinders. My opinion, of course. I'm no mechanic...
