  • its not exactly men hate shopping, but when men go with women, they hate shopping. because : If men want to buy something, he spends little time in choosing the item, once he gets he purchases and goes back to home. If he is with a woman, the woman takes lots of time in choosing, she will select n number of stuffs and select 1 out of them, she always remained confused in choosing it, whether it will suite her etc.. she will keep on asking men, how is this, how is that on me ? in between she also tries food somewhere. And yes more important, she wil keep on looking for the items in the shop for which she hasnt gone for even. and sometimes in worst case, she will also remember other items to buy along with what she is supposed to buy first. So obviously very much; candid men will be little impatient while shopping with women
  • We dont mind shopping. We just dont like shopping for/ with women becasue they take too long.
  • I love shopping! =)
  • I'm sure a guy wouldn't mind helping ya shop for underwear... he'd even help you try it on haha
  • not all, in my experirence. and not all women like shopping either!
  • 'cos they can see the local pub through the shop windows.
  • They dont, they hate shopping with women. Women spend hours in a shop and dont buy anything, i mean...what the hell!
  • I'm a man, and I don't hate shopping. I actually like to shop.
  • Booooooorrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggg!!!!!!
  • As a man let me try and clarify - I don't hate shopping, I like to shop actually. What I hate is shopping with a girlfriend who takes two steps and says 'oh look at this' and this process of taking two steps and then 'oh, look at this' is repeated endlessly. I get really, really upset when we decide to leave and this process continues from the far side of the mall all the way back to the door we came in at. I SHOP ALONE
  • There's someting about wandering around a mall that tires me out quickly. I can walk around outside all day, but 5 minutes in the mall and I'm done. Plus there's the fact that the longer you wander around, the more likely it is you'll end up buying things you don't really need but seemed like such a great bargain at the time.
  • that is so true.
  • I don't, although I haven't been to the Otineka Mall in nearly 20 years. Is there anything good there? :)
  • I don't hate shopping. It's just that when we accompany females that the time taken to make a decision, about which top they want or which pair of jeans looks good, gets stretched. Also, we don't like shoppin in stores that are not for us cuz there's no clothing to look at. But there are lots of other fine creatures walkin about. So I don't really know why alot of men say that they hate shopping. They shud just get used to being out of their comfort zone.
  • I don't hate shopping. If I'm buying clothes for myself, I actually prefer to not have anyone with me. If I'm deciding between two things, I don't want someone around because than I feel like they are waiting for me. If going with a girlfriend however, one reason men may not enjoy it is if the girlfriend will spend a while looking at everything in a store with nothing for men. All he can see is either female clothes, or females. So if he looks at either for more than a half a second, he'll get in trouble or get strange looks.
  • I don't hate shopping...I quite like it, actually.
  • Spending lots of cash, and holding my purse is not hubby's idea for a good time.
  • They don't, as long as it's for tools, or cars!!
  • I think men hate shopping like a woman does. Men don't mind going to buy a tool or whatever when they know they are going to Sears, getting the right tool, and then going home. They don't like stopping at Cinnabon first, then on the way to Sears stop in another clothes store to try on a few things, then when they get to Sears inspect all the various tools that could do the job and figure which one matches their eyes, they just buy the damn thing and go do the job. That is what men hate, in my opinion.
  • I like to shop, I don't like spending time gawking at various weaved fabrics.
  • They don't. They hate shopping when it entails hours of browsing and trying on of clothes and/or shoes along with endless discussion about each item. However, if you give a man some money and tell him to 'go buy yourself a nice shiny new television set', inevitably he will, enjoy it.
  • ... my husband loves to shop with me or anyone else :-)
  • we don't hate shopping , we just don't like to have to take a cut lunch, compass, and a bloody tent when we go shopping ....we don't see the need for an extended 7hour shop just to get a packet of pea's ...women need to learn how to shop ...and stop all the b.s. window shopping what a waste of time .. you's know you not going to buy anything so whats the point .... sorry but we males shop with logic .. we go , we see, we buy ...simple now isn't it
  • They dont hate the shopping part they hate having to lie to there partner and tell them there not fat!
  • I would like to say it depends on what kinds of goods a man purchase. Like dress, makeup, I do not think any man may interested in. But for something like computer, zippo, probably most men want to stop and see.
  • My guy loves shopping..on his own doing "guy" stuff..you know, Lowe's, Home Depot, Radio Shack..when he goes shopping with me he never tries to hurry me..never looks at his watch..never seems impatient at how much time I take. I know..he is a rare one. I'm very lucky! Happy Saturday! :)
  • I think it's the browsing we hate. If women just knew what they wanted and went in and get it, it would be different.
  • I don't agree 100% with the perception that men "hate shopping", I just think that men shop somewhat different than most women. For example, I know ahead of time what I want or need, and I've pretty got figured out where I'm going to get it. If I need a pair of jeans, for example, I just go straight to the jeans department and grab one of my size pay for it and I'm done! I don't pick and look anything else I don't intend to buy.
  • I love shopping! . I can spend HOURS at Lowe's, Home Depot, or Academy Sports. Bailey's Lumber is pretty cool too. Not so much at Circuit City because I'm geek enough to find what I want online. .
  • I don't think they do, they just HATE our indecisiveness and are completely baffled how we manage to tell the difference between half the garments we bring into the changing room lol bless em guaranteed it would be a completely different story though if he was choosing a 42' hd ready 1080p tv, they'd all look the same to me and id be bored to tears thats why us girlies ought to stick to shopping with other girls and leave the boys to their toys that way we're all happy :)
  • You mean clothes shopping where women try on a millon dresses but wont buy one, then its like going to Burger King chewing on a hamburger and never swallowing it down, what you think would happen about doing this for 3 to 4 hours lol
  • I love shopping, but im 17, and over the years i've gained all i've ever wanted and needed, so shopping now gets boring, it's no longer exciting to go to town and check out the new stuff. Another reason why i don't like shopping is because not every guy wants to go shopping with another. I have no girlfriend or friends that are female to go shopping with :( But if i ever did i would enjoy it.
  • I don't think all men hate it, but I think a major reason why they DON'T care to do it is because of all the people in the stores. Most just want to go in, find what they are looking for, pay, and leave. Malls are crowded, people with strollers taking up all the room in the aisles, unattentive salesperson, etc. And if they go with their wives/girlfriends, etc., I think they don't like to go to all the shops and just peruse. They don't like waiting around either. Perhaps these are some of the reasons it's not their favorite thing to do.
  • They dont. I shop all the time, and Im into buying tons of clothes. Btw, Im very straight.
  • they dont, they just hate shopping for stuff for other people.
  • We don't, we just shop in a different way to women. We know what we want, we go and buy it. Women go into town, no idea what they are actually going to buy (If anything).. Go in every shop, often more than once, trying on stuff and not buying it/asking for our opinion when we are only ever going to say it looks great... It gets terribly boring.
  • I've always felt like "shopping", though a necessary task, is like a black hole where time vanishes forever. I'd say that if I could remember and compile the most agitated moments of my married life, they usually take place in a store. SHE "We need to stop at (name of store here)... ME "what are you getting? Got a list?" She names off several items that ought to take a cumulative five minutes to evaluate and purchase... 45 minutes later... ME "what? another Easter Egg hunt?" "did they hide everything on your list?" SHE "rrrrrr" ME "yes dear"
  • This is not true at all. Guys do actually like shopping As do I Stop believing the stereotypes! +5
  • Says who? I love shopping.
