I don't have an email account at work since we don't have internet access in my work area. If I'm going to get a lecture about something, I'd rather he talk to me face-to-face, anyway. He's actually a big marshmallow, so no matter what it is, he hates doing it more than we hate "going to the office."

If I get in trouble, it is aknowledged to my face. My boss is not so passive-aggressive that he would send emails like that!
-
Nope he just lets rip at me there and then LoL Why do I laugh cos he's a great boss and a friend too.
-
I get called into the office or over the phone if that can't happen. I would not respect the person who sends me a scolding email. If that ever happened, I would send back a completely annotated rebuttal in writing.

I get called into the office and look like I give a s**t.

Depends on the trouble... if she's asked for something multiple times, she'll email me reminders, then maybe step up to my office and ask how its coming along. If its something serious... she'll call me into her office. Fortunately I don't get into much real trouble at work... at least that's work related.

It would be a cowardly supervisor that resorts to "constructive criticims" through email. Face-to-face leaves no possibility for misinterpretation.
-
we get yelled at right in front of everyone else...it really sucks.

I haven't gotten in trouble a work in awhile. The last time it did happen the boss said "I need to talk to you can you come into my office."
