The term "Control metrics" can be used to descobe a statisticalmethod for process control. You chart some aspect of your process and set some boundary limits that define if you are in control or not. Stay inside the boundaries and you are in control. by using the control metric for a long period of time, you can define trends in your process. Once done, the metric can be used to Predict when an out of control condition may occur. At that point, your control metric becomes a predictor.
