Yes, I've woken up with one on my arm, scared the shit out of me. After that I'm kinda spider-phobic.
-
nope-at most i let them go outside-most of the time i just leave them be---smile and enjoy the night-nice to see ya
-
After I let out a few shreiks and have a panic attack!! Then only if my husband isn't home...he is the resident spider killer. I only kill them myself because I don't want to be surprised by them later.
-
If it is too cold outside I leave it be until it is warm enough in the spring. Then I put the spider outside. In the summer I just put them outside.
-
no I run around the house screaming for someone to put it outside
-
Yep. I usually squish it with my thumb.
-
No, spiders actually reduce the number of other bugs in your home, if you actually have them. If you have spiders you can almost be assured they have a food source, otherwise they would die or move on to greener pastures.
-
Kill it...then fight the sensation that spider "siblings" are crawling on me to seek revenge!
-
It's bad luck!
-
I try not to, but I cant touch them so it's hard. If I could get them outside without killing them i would, but thats not always possible.
-
It's bad luck to kill a spider, BTW...the spider you killed maybe the one that would have killed the mosquito with lyme desease or ENE(?).
-
I destroy all insects unless they aren't in my house and that's not always true either becasue sometimes it can be quite fun squashing an 'it' because they really don't count. I always destroy every spider in my house. When will they ever learn if we keep going soft on them. Pardon the bad pun there, LOL.
-
Not usually. I do make an exception for black widows.
-
It depends on the spider. Some spiders are actually good to have around. They say to never kill a daddy longlegg.
-
No, I usually put it outside.
-
As a matter of principle, we do not kill any other living being wantonly unless they are harmful to us. We just drive the spiders out of the house and destroy their web.
-
sometimes. if they're on the floor or something i'll use. lol. if they're on the ceiling i dont worry about them too much.
-
Nope, I leave them there. They are doing me a favor. There was one in my bathroom that I would chat with in the mornings.
-
yes...everytime.
-
I don't kill anything that I see unless it is a direct and imminent threat to my own life (which has yet to happen), or it was an honest accident on my part. Every few weeks a spider decides to sit in the top corner of my room for a day or two, I just leave it alone... It's not doing anything to me, so why should I kill it? : / Same goes for ants, flies, wasps, mosquitoes, etc... I cringe every time my parents spray them or squash them *sigh* don't see why there is such a desperate need to go about killing everything all the time : /
-
I usually just ignore it. If it's a huge one (where I live, a spider is huge if it's more than about 2cm from the end of one leg to the other), I usually throw it out the window. Wouldn't kill them just because they're in my house ^^
-
Yes, if my cats don't do it first. Then I flush it down the toilet.
-
Never. They are nice creatures.
-
Well, if I don't, my wife will likely move out... :)
-
i did that one time, and a bunch of lil baby spiders scattered about. i was freaked. i screamed like a bitch, grabbed the hairspray and a lighter and went to town. i slept better knowing that napalm sticks to babies...spiders that is.
-
In the winter, I kill them. There are no insects in my house in the winter as I "Bomb" (Indoor Fogger) the whole house after my houseplants have been brought in from outside and after the first killing frost. If there are no insects for a spider to eat, it will bite you if it can (overnight, for instance). Spider bites are nasty and can get infected and/or make you sick. In the the other three seasons, I may kill them, leave them, or capture them and put them outdoors.
-
If it's wintertime I think they'll die outside anyway, so I'll kill them. In the summer I try to catch them and put them outside. But I have a baby in the house now so I'm more freaked out by having them in the house. But when I kill them I always apologize, isn't that weird?
-
No, I get a jar or something and take it outside.
-
No, I leave it be. Unless I recognize it as a black widow. In that case out of self-defense I kill it.
-
Yes, I have a phobia of them.
-
Ohhh yeah! Those suckers dont last long around me!
-
I usually put it outside some how...
-
Every time.
-
Yes spiders are scary creatures !!!
-
I can't as I don't have the guts to, I would run like hell from it and ask, plead, beg someone to kill it just so I won't see it. Usually for the really big brown ones I won't enter the room they're in until somone kills them and I actually see their dead body. Of course its a pity afterwards but what am I to do? X(
-
ewwwww no, i run away from them. lol
-
Sometimes. And other times I may take it outside.
-
Of cource not, just pick him up and put him outside but don't throw it outside just set him down nicely. Remy Tix
-
No no! I let it be!
-
Yes. I shoot them with my scatter gun. (I don't like taking chances on missing)
-
No I scream!! Just kidding, I don't kill it but if it's not an ordinary spider (has stripes or spots), I would smash it flat. Who knows it may be somehow poisonous. I've seen one in the bathroom, one that is obviously greenish. Though I don't know much about spiders, it doesn't seem to be a common spider.
-
Yes, I smack it with my shiny dress shoe. Lol.
-
I leave it alone. They catch mosquitoes.
-
I have to kill it. I hate spiders. I always imagine them crawling on me in my sleep. Havent seen you in a while The Troll..How goes it?
-
No, I can't kill something just for being what it is. However, I can't approach and catch it, either. That's what significant others are for.
-
Only if it's a black widow. I've been bitten by a BW before and it wasn't a fun experience. Most of them I just let be, or take them outside if the kids freak out.
-
Only if he's in the wrong 'place'. Bedrooms and the kitchen are off limits yo...
-
No,I LOVE spiders!!! But they don't last long in my house, cause my husband will scream like a girl if one gets near him. lol
-
No, if it stays at places where it does not disturb me - and doesn't produce much mess. I don't like moskitos to bite me.... But I remove old dirty webs naturally.
-
I can't... I just freak out and run away... I won't go into that room again for a couple days, then its all good. ^_^
-
WITH 6 LYNX'S, THERE'S NO BUGS
-
No, I don't kill them. I just run :) If I could get anywhere near them I'd get a glass and piece of paper and put them out but they freak me out BIG time... can't stand the way they move. Urgh. They live until I can get someone to put them outside.
