  • I use to wear the whole nine yeards. After a while I started to feel like I was wearing a mask and I stopped. Sometimes I wear lipstick but thats all.
  • I'll occasionally wear it for work, at some places, or for special occasions. I am allergic to almost any makeup after I have it on a few hours, though. I, like SASSYWI, used to never leave the house without all of it on. I got sick of that fast though when I had kids. It's irritating and takes too long to put on for just everyday.
  • I wear makeup pretty much everyday. I use basically natural looking makeup. I don't layer it on either. I just do a little foundation, eyeshadow/liner/mascara, blush and a little lip gloss.
  • I used to wear a lot more (nowhere close to dear Tammy Fay, rest in peace), but as I've gotten older, I hate going through all that work! I went back to wearing glasses, so I don't bother with eye shadow anymore. Eye liner and especially mascara was just too much. when I wore contacts, it would get in my eyes. My skin is oily, and too much make up just clogs the pores too much. Just some base and cover stick for the dark circles and blemishes...and light blush. I know I'm not terribly "girly"...but a girl's gotta look presentable, ya know? LOL! If guys only knew how much work it is...they'd understand those of us who are now "minimalists."
  • makeup is unnecessary, and can prematurely age a person. Most (and by that I mean 99%) of humans look much better with out makeup.
  • I like make-up- I kind of enjoy trying stuff out and all the different looks you can do with it - I think it's really weird how you can completely change the way you look with a relatively small amount - like how just putting a slick of bright red lipstick on makes you look instantly dressed up, and smudgy black eyeliner makes you look all moody and a bit gothic, and blusher can change the shape of your face depending where you apply it - I suppose I approach it more with an artistic sort of mind than a covering stuff up approach - I like messing around with clothes as well. I think it's a shame that so many women try to use make up to hide behind instead of to show off - cosmetics should really be about fun, not about pressure to look a certain way.
  • I used to when I was younger...but as I'm aging I don't wear the stuff..why you ask? I have seen too many women "of a certain age" wear so much makeup that all you see is a mask of wrinkles caked with powder, rouge, you name it they're wearing it..all because they think you will think they are younger when in fact it makes them look ludicrous..I'd rather appear plain than ludicrous. :)
  • I put some on for work or if hubby & I go some where but usually when I'm home I never wear any. I use to wear lipstick all the time until recently I heard most have high levels of lead in them so I don't wear much other then lipsmackers now.(gosh I hope those are safe)
  • Some ladies wear it well and I admire them for that; especially the ones who can really do it up. I usually don't wear any make up.
  • i had a shoebox of cosmetics that I had for like 15 years. recently, my husband dumped the contents in the trash and discarded all the items. i don't use make up because it would just be a waste of time, my features are hideous and the only thing that would improve my looks is a pillow case over my head.
  • I don't like being forced to wear make-up but when I feel like wearing it or when it is a special occasion, it's welcomed.
  • Hi Riskster. You're right. I've even seen guys in drag on tv that look gorgeous, so make-up can do a lot for you. I only wear a little eye make-up on a regular basis. They keep me in a corner in the back room at the office so nobody sees me much.
  • I don't do makeup a whole lot. Just some eye liner and maybe, just maybe, some lipstick.
  • Hello Rickster!! Answering another of your questions! I don't use make-up on a daily basis. When I do it is just eye shadow and mascara, I like to let my freckles show! I usually only wear make-up for church, weddings, funerals (although if you are like me, very emotional, this could be a bad thing), and other special occasions. Hmm, maybe if I put some on when my hunny comes home we'd get that baby we've been trying for. LoL, J/J!!!
  • Under the right conditions, I'll wear it. But not daily...it's a hassle if I'm in a hurry and I'm only 20, so I don't REALLY need to wear it. Too much makes women look like clowns - the trick is to look as if you're not wearing any. :)
  • I wear eye makeup and lipstick only, never any foundation, I am lucky to have very nice skin. I see some women who look good without make up and some who need more, and some who need less. I think it should always be a personal issue.
  • I love makeup and I also believe in the "less is more" approach. I wear it to accentuate the positive, unless my husband and I are going to a special event. In that case I go a little more wild because it makes me feel glamorous!
  • I have been wearing eye makeup since I was 12. Would not go out without it. :)
  • I like make-up. I'm not a "won't be seen without it" type woman, but I do like it. I feel more put together with it on.
  • I love makeup. For me, it's not a hassle or a chore, but it's fun. I usually wear classic red lipstick, some black eye liner, and some light foundation to even my complexion. I love dressing up with makeup and clothes. I don't wear it cause I 'need' it or treat it as something like medicine (something necessary) but I use to enhance and stand out in an even way. To add an extra sparkle so to speak. Although sometimes it's obvious with how much makeup to wear at a certain place/event, I think makeup is personal preference. People should wear what they feel is best for them, what makes them feel good, not what others dictate.
  • I love it, it can do wonders to enhance the beauty.
  • for me its only mascara and vasaline with maybe a touch of lipstick. I think if i were a guy the thought of kissing a girl wearing (alot) of foundation would be horrid
  • I wear enough make-up just enough to bring out my natural features. Too much makes me look like Tammi Faye in a hurricane.
  • Quite simply, I love makeup and it makes me feel more glamourous. Sure there are certain kinds of makeup that are used to cover flaws, but I don't use makeup to 'hide' but rather accentuate and highlight. I love the classic dark eyeliner/shadow and red lipstick.
  • I'm all natural... I don't like make-up... Why hide the real beauty??
  • If I didn't have problem skin, I wouldn't wear make up at all.. but I must say make up can do wonders for certain people, it's just bad when people over use it then they just look like a clown.
  • I have good skin and I dont wear makeup.I like looking natural and showing who I am. I must admit that having makeup on will enhance my beauty but I'm comfortable to be showing off my skin as it is.Overtime, makeup will block your pores and cause all sorts of problem on your face and thats why I seldom wear make up unless I must(like going for a job interview or wedding)and when I have to wear makeup,I apply light makeup so that it'll be easier to wash off later.
  • i guess i don't really NEED make-up .. i somehow ended up with great skin .. but for me, make-up is fun :) .. i love it, i don't use it to "hide" anything
  • Like I've been told by many guys, " Any girl can look pretty with make-up on." I'd have to say I agree, how many times have you seen make up done more harm then good? Its there to enhance looks, so it should make someone look more attractive.
  • I have to say that I'm very much a girly girl when it comes to makeup. I love it! I wear it everyday. Some days I wear more than others. For example if I'm going out socially or on dates or special occasions. I wear very light-toned foundation, dark eye shadow and liner, mascara, lipstick (90% of the time it's classic red). Sometimes I may brush a glitter stick under my eyes and surrounding areas. Eyes and lips are the main areas and I always make sure they're done up and complimented. I love my classic snow white look; black hair, fair skin, dark eyes, and red lips.
  • Woman do look amazing with make up as long as it is not over done and has a natural look to it. The main make up I think is base, mascara, blusher and lipstick. They also say that putting powder or pencil on your eyebrows make a huge difference.l
