Out of them...Def Leppard, and i dont think theyre even that good :p
-
Eagles.
-
The Eagles are absolutely magnificent. I do like The Cars and Queen bunches though.
-
I'm going with Journey but they only win by a nose over Def Leppard. I would have picked Queen but they were a little too inconsistent for my taste.
-
Queen. The Eagles are ok. Cars I barely know to be fair as well as journey. Def Leppard were cheese incarnate. Queen had great songs an amazing front man and some great musicians. Of course it is all subjective.
-
1. Queen 2. Journey 3. Eagles 4.Cars 5. Def Leppard
-
Would have to be between Queen and the Eagles, for brilliance and output.
-
Queen was my favorite
-
Taking into consideration vocal blend, entertaining talent, and overall creativity I would say the Eagles. Look at the solo talent that came out of the Eagles, that alone should speak for itself. It is kind of like a head football coach, his success isn't always determined by wins and losses but by the talent that is produced and passed on to others. Genesis is another note-worthy group. I am not familiar with the others, so I'll say Queen!
-
Eagles
-
Well, my heart belongs to Journey and Steve Perry...so...I guess I'd have to say Journey. :)
-
Eagles
-
queeeeeeeeeen!!!
-
I'm listening to Def Leppard right now. Love 'em. I also love Journey... like the others, but don't miss 'em if I don't hear their songs for a while.
-
I like them all very much, but I have to pick Queen, especially the early stuff.
-
I never liked the Eagles or Queen, and I dunno anything about Def Leppard. I really liked Journey's Infinity, but somehow I know that it's more poppish than The Cars, so I'll say The Cars.
-
Queen. Queen is my favorite in any list!
-
I don't think they fit into the genre of this group but Eagles would be my choice out of these great bands.
-
Queen...there isn't any argument. End of discussion.
-
I'm partial to Def Leppard because they came out when i was in high school...but Fat Bottomed Girls is my all time favorite song by Queen...
-
I'll go with the Eagles! The band itself had some quality music, and at least 3 of the members had successful solo careers to boot, Don Henley, Glen Frey and my favorite Joe Walsh.(BTW if you've ever seen Joe Walsh perform live he sings masterfully and quite clearly, but between songs he sounds like he just finished a case of whiskey and is wasted on EVERY drug known to man. He makes Ozzy Osbourne and Keith Richards sound intelligent and well spoken.)
-
Eagles, for their many great songs and lyrics. (That reminds me, their new album came out yesterday and I need to run out and get that.) Queen, for their original mix of classical and rock music and of course Freddy's magnificent voice.

Queen#1 As of 2005, according to The Guinness Book of World Records, Queen albums have spent a total of 1,322 weeks or twenty-seven years on the album charts; more time than any other musical act including The Beatles and Elvis Presley. Also in 2005, with the release of their live album with Paul Rodgers, Queen moved into third place on the list of acts with the most aggregate time spent on the record charts. Their 1985 Live Aid performance was voted the best live music performance of all time in a BBC poll. Regarded as one of the greatest singers in popular music, Freddie Mercury possessed a very distinctive voice, including a incredible recorded range of four octaves. As a guitarist, Brian May is known for his memorable riffs and solos, distinctive tone, as well as for the fact that he built (with his father) his own guitar, called the "Red Special". He is also cited as a pioneer of taping technique and the delay effect; he is described as a virtuoso. All of the band's studio albums reached number one around the world. In 2006, the Greatest Hits album was found to be the United Kingdom's all-time best selling album, with sales upwards of 5,407,587 copies, over 604,295 more copies than its nearest competitor, The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Their Greatest Hits II album came in seventh with sales upwards of 3,631,321 copies. In January 2007, their Greatest Hits I & II was the #1 most downloaded album on iTunes in North America. One of rock's most successful and influential acts, the band have released a total of eighteen number one albums, eighteen number one singles, and ten number one DVDs worldwide making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. They have sold over 300 million albums and 180 million singles worldwide including 32.5 million albums in the United States alone as of 2004. The band are also the only group in which every member has composed more than one chart-topping single. Queen are the only band inducted in the Songwriter Hall of Fame. Queen have also been cited as a major influence on the "neo-classical metal" genre by Swedish-American guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. "Stone Cold Crazy", from 1974's Sheer Heart Attack album, is cited as an early precursor of the speed- or thrash metal subgenre Metallica recorded a cover version of the song, which first appeared on the "Rubaiyat — Electra's 40th Anniversary" album in 1990, and won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 1991. In the early '70s, Queen helped spur the heavy metal genre's evolution by discarding much of its blues influence; the New Wave of British Heavy Metal followed in a similar vein, fusing the music with a punk rock sensibility and an increasing emphasis on speed. Queen have been recognized as having made significant contributions to such genres as arena rock, glam rock, hard rock, heavy metal, pop rock and progressive rock, amongst others. Hence the band has been cited as an influence by many other musicians. Moreover, like their music, the collection of bands and artists that have claimed to be influenced by Queen, is diverse and span different generations, countries and genres. Queen are in a whole other league!!
-
queen that was easy
-
The Eagles!! Harmony...it's all about Harmony.
-
Queen, I love we will rock you.
-
The Eagles first then Queen!
-
My favorite two are the Eagles and Journey.
-
I would definately have to say Journey without a doubt. I am 17 and totally LOVE their music so I think it appeals to SOOOO many people!!!
-
Well, each of these bands has some really awesome songs, some of which I have been rockin' out to since I was in high school back in 1980! The best, for me personally though, I would have to say is QUEEN! I just love them, and still blast their tapes every weekend when I do my house cleaning! I'm sure my neighbors are getting tired of hearing me belt out "Fat bottom girls", but, too bad!
-
QUEEN and EAGLES. although the 2 styles are different,no one can duplicate queen's arrangements w/freddie mercury's outstanding voice.from bicycle bells(fat bottom girls) to a 3.0 richter scale stadium pounding(we will rock you),queen is king! the eagles have run the gambit of style changes from smooth country (takin'it easy) to off the wall(the greeks dont want no freaks) to dark and deep (hotel california) always with the tightest cleanest harmonies.add joe walsh's guitar and influences(i.e. james gang) and this band has forever claimed their place in rock.
-
Queen...they ARE the champions!
-
Eagles and Queen, Eagles for body of work and for the unique harmonies. QUeen for passion and entertainment.
-
No problem!
-
Queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) LOL
-
Queen hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
All great bands but i pick the eagles because they had so many talented songwriters singers and players and all combined with such great chemistry. They have had probably the most hits out of any of them. And so many of their members and former members were successful solo artists as well.
-
The Eagles then Queen Too many great classic Rock bands
-
I dont know how the Cars made it on your list. Journey was good, had a lot of hits. I personally liked Journey much more before Steve Perry joined. Their first albums were GREAT. (topaz, kohutec, look into the future etc...) Def Leppard gets honorable mention for hangin' with the drummer. They could have took the money and ran with a new drummer, but they didnt. Kudos for that. So, down to Eagles and Queen. I believe the Eagles Greatest hits album is the biggest seller of all time. The Eagles have been around for decades and their still going strong. Their music is beautiful and timeless, I've grown up to them! And then there's Queen! Again, I like their first few albums the best. The hard stuff (great king rat, briton rock, shear heart attack,etc..) but their melodic rock and vocal abilities are unmatched. You KNOW its Freddie singing, You KNOW its Brian May playing that guitar, Had Freddie lived, who knows where they would have gone!!!
-
Thats gotta be the Leopard as they stick to there morals
-
Queen. I didn't appreciate them until I was an adult. The complexity of their music makes it awesome.
-
Cars!
-
Queen
-
I dont think the Eagles are really a rock band. They're a brilliant band, but they're not really rock. Im going to have to go for Queen out of the choices.
-
I love Journey, but I have a huge crush on Steve Perry. The Eagles are hands down the best of the 5 you listed.
-
Journey Eagles Cars Queen Def Leppard
-
Journey, Queen, Cars, Def Leppard, Eagles in that order.
-
I'm a big Journey fan, but Def Lep is good too!
-
I have to go with Def Leppard myself. The Eagles and Cars were easy to dismiss as they have had very little impact on my life at all. Journey's "Open Arms" was a good song, but that's about it from them too. Queen were fantastic most of the time, but somewhat inconsistent perhaps. Def Leppard have done some fantastic songs and albums, and have probably been more consistent than Queen were.
-
Def Leppard Queen is a close second though
-
Queen!
-
queen...I love them!
-
I only liked two of these bands. Being a 'metal head', I have to pick Def Leppard. I've seen them in concert in 1984 and 1987.
-
Eagles
-
I have to choose Def Leppard. They are the most quintessential rock band of the 5 listed.
-
Queen :)
-
Queen has a great body of work but I think Def Leppard comes in first.
-
In my order it's the Eagles, Journey, Queen, and the Cars.
-
I can't stand Def Leppard, don't know anything by Cars and, as much as I think Queen deserve it, The Eagles gets my vote, they have done some brilliant stuff
-
For me, it's a toss-up between The Eagles and Queen.
-
I'm torn between the Eagles, Queen and Journey but probably in that order.
-
Of this list, Def Leppard and the Eagles would be at the top and then Queen. Cars are ok. I don't like Journey at all.
-
Queen, all the way!
-
Queen
-
QUEEEEEEEEEEN
-
The Eagles,of course.
-
Journey!
-
I would have to put the Eagles on top, but it's a tough decision.
-
That's easy, pure Rock band with those to choose from: Queen
-
I love the Eagles. <3
-
The Eagles!
-
From the list, i would choose Def Leppard
-
Queen. No contest. Who the hell are Journey? Would have been harder to answer if u had thrown Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin into the mix.
-
I love the Eagles, don't really consider them rock. I think I'd choose the Cars!! : O )
-
Leppard all the way.
-
