  • What kind of TV? Everyone I have spoken with suggests starting with unplugging the TV for a while and then trying to turn it on again (after you plug it back in.) I recommend unplugging it and then holding the power button for at least 3 seconds to discharge the capacitors. I don't know if it works for TVs, but it does work for my computer. Leave it unplugged for at least a half an hour and then plug it back in and try again. If it doesn't work, write back with some more information. I wish you luck. Peace.
  • I also have the same HDTV 1080 and I am having the same issue. the TV shuts down and a green light flashes. I have unpluged the TV and pushed the reset but still all i get is a green flashing light. can someone please give assistiance! thank you
  • real common problem, failure of the power supply or the DM (microprocessor) canot reset - can be repaired by a good servicer but not a self-repair issue
  • Well people, I may have some info to help on the powering off issue. I just had my Mitsubishi ws5511 repaired for the same problem. It cost me $240.00. The problem according to the tech was the convergence wires that connect to the three color yokes. They required re flowing (re-soldering). this fixed the problem. Hope this helps.....forward and onward.
