  • Maybe a swear jar like this would help!
  • No benefits I can see. I think its absurd. I doubt that our customers would love to overhear someone cussing in the background; not very professional, is it?
  • In our Post Office it's nothing but swearing in the daily banter which keeps morale up. Some people get offended which is understandable but 99% of the time it's the norm.
  • That is common at my workplace. As i am sitting here typing, 2 guys are cursing each other out (jokingly). I curse the Service Manager out at least once a week. I usually start out with "look here, you fat f*ck...don't come up here blah blah blah." If we were not allowed to swear here, someone would probably get shot.
  • I work at a company where we do swear, and everything you said was right. Everyone gets along but if there is a fight or argument, people can talk it out however they want and it works, everyone is cool with one another.
  • I work at a daycare so We can't swear, I think it would make everyone a little happier in the stressful enviornment and they would get to see me in a little different light.

  • None. i am currently working in a clinic that serves senior citizens. It also happens to be in Utah so the LDS population is rather high...it would just offend people...also, i dont think hearing a nurse or doctor cursing would make our patients feel very secure.
  • Probably a lot as long as it's not in front of the customers. I work in a Day Spa.
  • None. People who swear have limited vocabularies and are lacking self-control..I don't see how either of those would benefit any business. :)
  • Wow, a link please! I would imagine it would depend on the field you are in. No body would have to worry about putting up a front I guess? Lol.
  • I think we would lose customers fast and the place would shut down. Benefits? It would be halarious to watch the expression on a couple of faces but that's going to be funny for only a few seconds.
  • We can all speak freely here and it is a great place to work.
  • None at all. I cannot imagine getting away with it in front of Magistrates never mind Judges. It might be funny seeing some try though.
  • People at my work are frustrated and vent to their "work" friends about other coworkers...and never really tell the peole they are mad at, what they think...therefore cliques form and gossip starts. I think if we were allowed to fully express ourselves 100% without consequence, there are a few people I'd like to tell to fXck Off
  • LOL, someone said this in our office today! I said 'Sh*t, that f*ck*n can't be right'. Everyone started laughing. I only see a benefit when goofing around. If people are under pressure and they start swearing, it's not too good.
