  • Love 'em.
  • They are a good alternative to a cat, don't take up much room and you don't look strange walking down the road with one.
  • The smaller the better , if they bark when someone comes around + 5
  • I dont like em. I like a dog at least knee height. Not this big though....
  • They can be annoying, but cute. My daughter has a long-haired chihuahua, he's loves everyone.
  • I love all animals, but they seem befitting for a child or a woman rather than a man.
  • I think if I had one I'd probably step on it accidentally. I'm more a cat person. I guess really little dogs are a good choice if one wants a pet and is in an apartment with no room for the pet to run around. :)
  • They're great , if they poop in the street you don't have to scoop it up as no-one notices it ( usually looks like a little twig ). Scrappy Doo would do my poxy head in though.
  • I think they're gorgeous! I love toy dogs. My sister has a mini Maltese who is just incredibly sweet and cute. If we didn't already have a cat, I would be seriously tempted to get a small inside dog. They're wonderful companions and very protective of their people.
  • well i think same about big nd small dpgs tht vt they think of humman beings
  • They're not for me.
  • depends on the dog... I think Dacshunds are cute... but I can't stand chihuahuas.
  • I love them, I have a leetle dog named Bubbles.
  • They aren't on my list of dogs I'd love to own. I prefer a dog with a bit more substance...for hiking, running along side a horse. But I've known some bonny little dogs. Any good tempered, well trained dog is a joy to know in my book. I've trained a lot of pint sized pups...and with training they are fantastic little dogs. I think they get a bum rap mostly because too many owners DON'T bother to train them, or allow them to act like DOGS!
  • I use to think that little dogs were to practice punting with (calm down, I never really did), but I've got a few friends with them and many are actually cute little buggers.
  • I have two jack russles. I think they're lovely, but terrible little, untrainable devils.
  • I have a toy chihuahua. He is 7 lbs. I have seen teacup chihuahuas and they are usually 5lbs or less. They are adorable, but really fragile and it can drive you bonkers making sure that they don't get hurt. My toy chihuahua, Brewster, was a rescue. My Mom gave him to me because her neighbor had him and could no longer keep him. I was skeptical at first, but as soon as he was placed in my arms I fell in love with him.
  • I love them! Just got a very small long haired Chihuahua. He is so cute!!!
  • they're just plain Demonic
  • I have mixed feelings, and they are really not for me. It seems that everytime I take my dog somewhere some small dog comes over and starts nipping and yipping at my dog (the owners think it's cute....it's not), so my dog has found his own defense...he has started lifting his leg and peeing on them when they do this. The dog's owner don't think that's cute but it least it gets them to control their dog ;)
  • I like them just fine as long as I don't sit on them. :-)
  • In my daddy's opinion he says small dogs are a sad excuse for a dog, and look like rats. But personally I think small dogs are cute, but the ones I usually see fall into the wrong hands. I got nothing agaist them. :)
  • Personally I cant stand them. I'll stick with my big Rottweiler thanks.
  • I think they're more likely to be snappy and mean than a big dog (for instance, a pitt bull). They just don't do as much damage when they bite, so you don't hear about them being vicious on the news. I wouldn't want one, although I guess I've met a few that were pretty cute..... but still mostly MEAN.
  • Cooper is my three pound best bud.
  • glorified rats.
  • I don't like the tiny, toy dogs. I have a golden retriever. However, around 20 lb are okay. I'm getting a miniature australian shepherd in fall.
  • Oh i love them :)
  • I dont hate them since I love all dogs but I prefer not to own them. All dogs deserve love.
  • Some of them are really annoying but some of them are also cute. You can't really make a judgement about all little dogs. However, any dog that wears clothes and travels in a handbag is no longer a dog!!!
  • It really depends on the breed. Chihuahuas tend to be very needy and like to be around people constantly. Though they usually tend to bond more closely to only one or two people at most, they are very loving and sweet. For the most part, I never thought I liked little dogs. Then I met my chihuahuas and they made me fall in love with them. Would I get another one? Probably not. But that's only because I'm done having dogs. Have had them all my life and would like to travel freely without having to worry about them all the time. Cats are the better option if you ask me. Only because they don't have to be let in and out (they have a litter box). They still need the attention and care but are a bit more independent than dogs.
