freshly ground pepper or with dill

I like it naked usually. Pears or tomatoes are a yummy addition also!

I like it with melons and other fruit. Yum! Cottage cheese and tomatoes is really, really good, too. (With really good freshly-ground pepper!) One of my favorite things to do with cottage cheese is to use it in a Chicken and Brown Rice Florentine Casserole recipe that I have. It adds body and richness to the casserole, without the fat and calories of sour cream that many other such recipes use. When I was little, my Dad made a sandwich spread with cottage cheese, chopped onions, chopped bacon and a bit of mayo. It was interesting, and good. Haven't thought of it in years until I saw this question. I might have to make that sometime this week.

I think cottage cheese is seriously disgusting stuff !
-
If I can talk my wife into buying it, I eat it. Salt and Pepper, usually. Green Onion Seasoning or Chopped Chives added gives it another kick. I've even had it with Bacon Bits on it. Mmmmm Good! I used to eat it with sugar on it. Got that from my uncle, though he'd never admit it. ;-) And I knew a lady who ate it with Ketchup on it. (Never tried it that way!)

With Pineapple is delicious.

I *LOVE* cottage cheese. I generally sprinkle it with "All-Season" salt or garlic salt. I sometimes add various fruits, pineapple, peach, pear, berries, cherries, or grapes. Those who dislike it really should try it with a few dashes of season salt to spice it up a bit. The flavor difference is amazing! I have turned many cottage cheese HATERS into cottage cheese lovers with that little trick.
-
It's good any way you try it because you can go sweet or savory. My neighbor put it in her Lasagne and I thought, snobbishly that it wouldn't work, but it was great, mixed with ricotta. I like it with fresh fruit.
