yes i could tell the difference
-
Hell yeah they are two totally different drinks! It so annoys me when you ask for coke and get given pepsi! I mean fair enough if they have the decency to say thats it is pepse and not coke!
-
Coke and yes.
-
yep and i could tell the difference blindfolded , but it be coke for me .
-
yes.......... pepsi is disgusting and coke is worse... yuk
-
I prefer Coke. I would definitely be able to tell the difference. Pepsi has too much sugar. I find it to be way too sweet.
-
I can't tell the difference...the same with RC Cola and the supermarket brand names, like the Walmart or Sam's Club one. I don't have that kind of taste buds...
-
No, I can't tell the diference. And I prefer other soda flavors more, like Orange, or Root beer.
-
Yes Pepsi tastes good and Coke taste yuk
-
Coke and yes I can tell. I couldn't tell when I was kid, I would drink both, but now I only like Coke.
-
Yes I can tell the difference. Coke is it. If I can't have coke, I'll take Mt. Dew or Dr. Pepper.
-
Coke, and yes I can tell the difference.
-
I've done the taste taste with the original Coke and Pepsi. I thought that Coke was too caramelly and Pepsi was too sweet. Coke has more spice but Pepsi goes down easier. What I did was switch to Dr. Pepper or root beer.
-
Coke Classic, but I prefer 7-Up, the un-cola. Yes, and I have done the blind taste test several times. They are quite similar, have the same basic ingredients, but in slightly different amounts ...
-
Coke, and I can tell the difference, especially with my rum or whiskey. Pepsi leaves a film in my mouth as well and I won't really drink it at all unless it is the only option.
-
Of course.
-
Pepsi is the sweet and flavorless brand. As far as I'm concerned. Coke is it.
-
Yes, and I prefer Pepsi.
-
Yes, without question. Coke rules! :-)
-
Yes, without a doubt. There's an obvious difference. I used to like Coke better, but I'm beginning to prefer the more refreshing taste of Pepsi. I depends on what your taste buds are accustomed to and which one your mind associates more with the caffeine you so crave...
-
I don't drink either regularly but I found Pepsi to be sweeter.
-
No I have not tasted either since a Science class when i was ten years old. I value the enamel on my teeth too much.
-
Without batting a blind eye.
-
You know...I want to say yes because they have very distinctly different flavors in my opinion. But I've never tried, so in all honesty I have no idea!
-
I don't really like either one, but I can tell the difference. Pepsi is "flatter" and sweeter than coke. Of the two I prefer Coke.
-
Oh yea. I don't drink either very often, but I can tell which is what.
-
I took the "Pepsi challenge" when I was 10. I chose Coke.
-
No, I don't think so. I'm not a big soda drinker. Although if given a choice I don't usually drink pepsi...I think it's sweeter. So, on that note, maybe I could taste the difference?
-
I can tell the diff b/t Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi, does that count?
-
I'm not big on soda but I can tell the difference. Pepsi has a more distinctive carbonation (from the pepsin) than Coke which to me tastes a bit flat.
-
No, and i don't even believe that 0.5% in the world would feel any differnce.
-
I sure could! Pepsi tastes much sweeter to me...
-
I have done the taste test on my own and there is no difference in the taste of either, and I have precise taste buds.
-
I'm sure I could...Coke seems to burn more than Pepsi
-
yeah pepsi tastes much sweeter to me and i could figure it out easy.
-
Yeah cause pepsi seems to leave a weird after taste its too sweet or somethin' I usually choose coke over pepsi.
-
Yes. Coke is far more acidic than Pepsi (and both are too acidic for my taste, as are all colas).
-
I know I could, they do taste different to me.
-
From what I remember, Pepsi isn't as syrupy sweet as Coke.
-
Yes, I have given myself and the members of my family a blind taste test, and we can all tell the difference. Pepsi is sweeter, and in very test, we chose it over Coke.
-
Pepsi tastes like a diet coke to me lol
-
Yes. But even more so impressive is that if you took multiple cups of regular and diet soda, no matter what brand, I could tell you which one's were diet just by sniffing it.
-
Yes, though I have never done a double blind taste test.
-
Yes, Pepsi is sweeter and doesn't have as much bitter aftertaste. I forget who said it, it was some South American dictator who said that Coke tasted like licking the leg of a recently exercised athlete. I agree. I don't like any soft drink much better.
-
Pepsi doesnt have quite so many chemicals in it so it tastes cleaner whilst with coke it has a very distinct after taste. I little bit metalic. Plus if your in a resturant and they have the syrup blend drinks the pepsi has a stronger flavor whilst coke gets watered down alot more. Im a student i live off sugar drinks i have a reason to know these things.
-
Oh yeah. Pepsi tastes sweet like candy and Coke tastes darker and much stronger.
-
Yes, and I like pepsi better.
-
Yes. I prefer Coke to Pepsi, but Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke.
-
Pepsi contains more glucose than Coke
-
oh yeah.
-
Yep. Pepsi is sweeter.
-
Only if I taste them side by side.
-
Yes Pepsi = Great and Coke = Crap Easy for me to tell them apart...Lol!
-
yes, pepsi is much sweeter than coke. and coke is kind of strong.
-
Yes, I can. Pepsi is definately sweeter. I prefer Coke.
-
yes, pepsi is sweeter.
-
They're like day and night.
-
Most definitely. Growing up I always drank Pepsi but for the last 15 years or so I am a Coke girl. I just like Coke better than Pepsi. I rather have something else to drink if they don't have Coke. Anything but Pepsi. I wonder why my taste changed so drastically.
-
Pepsi has more sugar. I can tell the difference easily cause i used to drink my tea with 2 spoons of sugar, but for the last year, i dont take any. I also have picky taste buds.
-
Yes.. coke is better to me.
-
I took the taste test and I can identify each brand.
-
Very Easliy. Coke is much sweeter with a syrupy taste. Pepsi has more sparkle.
-
If they weren't labeled, I probably couldn't
-
Pepsi is sweeter to me
-
Yes I sure can.
-
Yes. I loved Coke as a kid. Now my job carries Pepsi, so I have had an unhealthy amount of each.
-
One is a pesticide and the other one is insecticide.
-
Oh yeah. Pepsi has a sweeter taste to me.
-
I used to be able to, when I drank fizzy drinks. I even did a blind taste test once, and easily identified the two (and Pepsi was better).
-
Yes because I created soda!!!
-
Yes, definitely... and I hate Pepsi.
-
Funny you should ask. I was a die hard Pepsi fiend since 1985. LOVED the stuff. One day my friend's kid was doing a taste test for school and I found that Coke is SO much better. I would have denied it until death, but I was wrong. Pepsi is way sweeter than coke.
-
No
-
Easily. I like them both, but Coke is a little more refreshing, Pepsi is a lot sweeter-tasting.
-
Yes, Pepsi is super sweet compared to Coke.
-
absolutely....coke is like syrup and sticks to your teeth. i actually won a pepsi/coke taste test in our mall once....100 bucks was niiiiiiice
-
Yes , even with Rum in them.
-
Yes, I can tell the difference....I'm a decaf Pepsi drinker, but limit myself to one a day. I tried Coke Zero, and that was my opinion of it......a big ZERO.
-
yep
-
Absolutely!
-
Coke is sweeter and better. Pepsi has someting makes u sick, but it's ok in case i couldnt find coke at the market! =P
-
Not only can I taste the difference-I can SMELL the difference between the two, I can also SMELL the difference between regular soft drinks and diet ones! SHOW YOURSELF TROLL!
-
Hells yeah! Coke is better!
-
yes. pepsi is much sweeter
-
absolutely~ coke is way better.
-
yes pepsi sucks
-
Definitely. Pepsi is too sweet for me.
-
Yes, and the difference between Coke and Diet Coke. Diet Coke is the best!
-
ofcourse,who cant?
-
Absolutely! and Coke has my vote!:)
-
I think so, but Malcolm Gladwell argues in his book "Blink" that the test may be tougher than you think. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blink_(book) For example, if the two colas have been sitting on the shelf for a long time, their flavors degrade and tend to taste more similar. Also, Gladwell insists the following test will confound most cola drinkers. Take 3 glasses: Pour Coke into the first glass (and label it) Pour Pepsi into the second glass (and label it) Pour either into the third glass (but DO NOT label it) Have a cola drinker takes sips from the first and second glasses. Then have the cola drinker take a sip from the third glass and try to identify WHICH cola it is. Gladwell claims many of his cola-drinking friends were flummoxed by how difficult it was.
-
yup...coke is not as sweet as pepsi and has more of a carbonated fizz to it..pepsi always tasted like overly sweet, half flat coke to me. I prefer coke over pepsi but really don't care for soft drinks that much at all...especially considering soda products contain caffiene (the most abused drug on the planet) sugar (which rots your teeth and makes you fat and possibly diabetic). the average American consumes 55 gallons of soda a year, 25% of the sugar consumed in the USA comes from soft drinks, the coka-cola company purchases more sugar than any other company on the planet, including candy companies!...so tell me how the soda industry, a 40 billion dollar industry keeps you buying something that EVERYONE knows is bad for them? Mind Control! Biological Mind Control; Altering the mind and body through the use of chemicals. But that's not the only thing they do, they actually use 4 different levels of control and manipulation to keep you buying these products. from advertising (sexy, relative, subliminal), association (brand loyalty), addiction to peer pressure and idolization. But let's focus on the physical manipulation. Caffeine: again the most abused drug in the world. You ingest it, you get an energy rush, you feel good, then sometime later you crash, you feel tired and down, you need another fix. You drink soda or energy drinks for the lift it gives you..soon your mind begins to associate these drinks with feeling good! Drink a soda= feel good, have energy. But it's not even a healthy energy. Ever find it ironic Coke is a sponsor of the olympic games and in advertising they show athletes drinking coke products...yet in reality olympic athletes are banned from drinking/taking anything with caffiene in it. hmmmmmm association..soda=feel good, have enrgy, be a winner, be like an olympian? Sugar; Sugar..there's lots of it in soda. You ingest it and your mood is elevated, but then the body suppresses it by lowering your glucose levels..it's an up and down rollercoaster ride. Again making you feel good when you have it and bad when you don't. again you associate soda with feeling good. But the most important aspect of control isn't only addiction, it's need. let's say for example you have 2 men. Both need 2.5 litres of water to stay hydrated. Guy number 1 drinks water. He consumes 2.5 litres of water and is sufficiently hydrated, has consumed no calories, caffiene or sugars. Guy 2 is drinking soda. He must actually consume 2 times that amount to satisfy his thirst for water because soda/caffiene is a diuretic, causing the body to not retain water. So not only does guy number two have to drink more soda, but in the process he has consumed around 1036 calories of sugar which is half of the caloric intake a person needs in their daily diet! That equals out to 276 grams or 22 teaspoons of sugar a day! Could you imagine sitting down and eating 22 spoonfuls of sugar? So you drink a soda, the sugar hits your bloodstream and spikes your sugar levels, the ceffiene kicks in, you feel great but then it quickly wears off, you crash, you feel like crap, your body is not hydrated (which could result in even more fatigue and headaches possibly)...so what do you do? You drink another soda! IT's addiction and control masterminded to the nth degree in efficiency. But you say "I drink diet drinks or fruit flavored drinks" well you aren't safe either...these drinks contain aspartame which is possibly linked to many health issues and sodium benzoate which was considered safe by the FDA but has recently been found to cause free radicals (cancer). Probably one of the most surprising facts is the video I have attached that colas contain pesticides! But don't worry people, if you drink colas...the water we drink has all kinds of mind controlling drugs in it as well!

In the book Blink, the author Malcolm Gladwell addresses these quick taste tests as 'thin slicing' to make a decision. Most people can tell the difference between Pepsi and Coca-Cola and usually choose Pepsi because it is sweeter. However, when faced with three glasses (two glasses of one cola and one glass of the other) most people cannot distinguish which is which. Also taste tests do not translate into sales, so Coca-Cola still leads the market. http://www.wnur.org/lit/reviews/blink.php
-
Yes for they both have very different taste.
-
Yes... Pepsi is bit "lighter", and Coke is a bit sweeter.
