  • I have family with autism, I've had older neighbours with it, would like to see through their eyes for the day, as I know they filter things differently, would make life so much easier for them if people understood. I've watched a few sites dedicated to it, made by autistic people on the spectrum, wouldn't want my nephew and cousin to feel issolated by it, that would be heartbreaking, they are only young..

Unfortunately there are people in the public eye who don’t properly understand autistic people. The education system should help people become more aware and understanding of those who are not only autistic but for anyone who is different in certain ways. It takes ignorance to disrespect them like a certain Answerbag user who I won’t mention. Autistic people feel emotions the same as everyone else in the world and should be treated equally and fairly. I know that people with autism think differently to others as you mentioned but also that their brains are hardwired differently and there is nothing wrong with that.

No there isn't anything wrong, but people will learn a different language, but won't do the same with autism.

I know what you mean. Sad but true.
  • Honestly avoid it if possible my cousins don't invite ole mate much any more as his autistic daughter is a nuisance, shes 27 last time we were watching a pay tv fight in the shed she walks in changes the tv channel ,ole mate lets her do this so we went inside put the tv inside on she comes inside and does the same. She has the mentality of a 3 year old. I wouldn't be able to do it.
  • Of course, respecting other people's differences creates a more inclusive and harmonious society.
