Jenny explained it perfectly. I'll say that older people tend to fart more (regardless of gender), as you become more lactose intolerant. They sound like they need that extra turbo to get along.

12/16/2024, I would like to add: the starch content in potatoes 🥔 makes them a high, gas-producing carbohydrate.
