  • Of course not. We have conflated the two very different ideas of "equal opportunity" and "equal outcome." People who think that the value to society of a neurosurgeon who saves lives and a serial killer drifter are the same, have no common sense.

  • No...but I would argue: all human life is valuable and irreplaceable. But some is more valuable than others. For example: the life of a brain surgeon is more valuable than the life of a serial rape-murderer.
