Get used to it why else are people installing their own generators? We are all going to end up freezing cold in the dark. The more we neglect electricity infrastructure and believe pathetic wind turbines will generate the giga watts we need continusly which they never will.

Usually when the power goes out down here its because of weather. And some remote areas are the last to get turned back on so I'd say you are fortunate to have had it turned back ON three times! I used to live behind the police station so the power was always restored quickly there. Here the only time the power was out for any length of time was when someone had a wreck and took out the power pole at the bottom of the hill. But to answer your question only once in a day. But if it happens often I'd get a little emergency generator.
