  • I've always eaten it cooked. In the U.S. it is typically only available already cooked (which word here I am using to include "smoked"). Apparently there are "fresh" ("raw", uncooked, unsmoked) kielbasa available in cities with large Polish populations, but for most of us in the U.S. the pre-cooked varieties are the only ones available.
