  • It's a touchy subject for a lot of people. Without kids in schools, the economy essentially shuts down. However, kids are good at spreading covid. A vaccinated person is less likely (although it's still quite possible) to spread the virus. Once enough schoolchildren are vaccinated, the concern about the disease spreading through schools is negligible, but even with teachers vaccinated, kids will spread the virus from one family to dozens of others through the school system. No one will openly admit that's the case, because no one wants to shut the schools down and paralyze the economy, but denying the truth in order to make it easier to weigh out tough decisions isn't really going to help us much way on down the road, as much as simply discussing the pro's and con's and being able to make the most logical decisions.
