  • I am very leary of commercial airlines because of the many terrorist groups. I am however a commercially rated pilot and love to fly myself although I have not been able to do so for many years. It is just too expensive since 911 and I no longer own an airplane.

Well you said you love to fly yourself do you need an airplane too?

I just haven't been able to flap my arms fast enough the last few years. Things slow down at 78 you will learn!
    • Linda Joy
I don't have to be 78 to know this! I mourn the loss of many physical abilities already! And due to multiple medical conditions I also tire easily. I'm no longer the PYT I used to be!

Keep going and never give up!
    • Linda Joy
      Definitely!
  • No I am not afraid of flying: it is that part of hitting the ground.

      You got that right, Rick!

      Thank you Miss Linda.

All normal landings are just controlled crashes! LOL
    • Linda Joy
      Good point!
  • No. I figure, with my bad luck, if the plane did crash I'd survive.

I think we may be two peas in a crumbled fuselage! Lol

      Good one. LOL.
  • not really, i just dont fly much cause its too expensive
  • not really, i just cant afford it
  • In an airplane or a balloon, it never bothered me. In a helicopter, honestly, I was a little afraid, but in a glider, it's a pure adrenaline rush. I've never been shot out of a cannon, or launched by a catapult, but I bet that'd be frightening. That's not really flying, though, that's projectile motion, and you have no control over your own destiny; but that's exactly the situation in a helicopter if you lose power.
  • Only crashing.
