treat others as you would like them to treat you. thats my golden rule.

I believe Jesus said that the greatest commandment was to love God with whole heart, mind, soul and strength. The second was love neighbor as self. If you had to take God out of the equation, love of neighbor would be next, which basically is the golden rule. Unless you liked torturing yourself. That wouldn't fly.

Love thy neighbour. Or, Do as you would be done by. Both mean the same thing more or less.

To be honest. To be honest with yourself. To be honest with others. To be honest even if it hurts. I also like the rule of helping others less fortunate than you. People woldn't be so "evil" if there wasn't another person mean to them from the beginning, or they were helped in times of sorrow. :)

Do what you believe is right, and allow others to do the same for themselves. I believe that people shouldn't be (And do not, by nature, need to be) governed by rules and laws from outside of themselves. I'm not saying that anarchy would be perfect for the world, but perfection is impossible, and there's no firm rule that could make the entire world a "Better" place without stripping a lot of people of their rights. The only rule that should be followed by *Everyone* is their own subjective moral rule.

The "MY way or the highway" rule? Kidding. I'd say the golden rule- but that doesn't always work. I like to be told outright some things, like if I look bad in this outfit, or if I'm screwing up. Some people prefer the more, softer approach. I suppose in the end it all comes down to dignity and respect for one another. That includes ALL aspects of respect.
