• You can either trust and have faith that there's a God or wait for him to pass through you

  • This is a great question... The Bible says,” For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are understood by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship.”Psalms 19:1-4. Just look around at the world and you will see evidence everywhere. When we see a house with its doors, windows, rooms and other features that are obviously designed for human use, we recognize that the house had a builder. This entire planet has many more features that fit it for human habitation than any house that man has ever made, for houses need outside sources to provide them with such things as food, water and fuel. With good reason, the inspired apostle Paul wrote: “Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God.” (Heb. 3:4) Hope this is able to help you. That is a false equivocation. We all know and can see home builders. We are the ones that build houses. You cannot see any gods and you cannot justify logically that there is a god at all. It's the same as the watchmaker fallacy. Learn how to reason correctly or be stuck in your own head for life.

You cannot see the wind, but you know it exists because of the force behind it. You cannot see electricity but you use it and see the effects. Same as Gas, Oxygen etc etc, You cannot see these but you know they exist. This is the same with God. No you cannot see him but you see the results.
  • Just to know He is when He convicts of sin. Better way it is said is when something wrong is said or done and you feel bad about it that is God that makes one feel bad over wrong words or deeds. It is called your conscience.
  • If you assume that God is an invisible, inaudible, odorless, omnipresent, unfathomable being that cannot be detected with any scientific instruments, and can only be felt with a sixth "spiritual" sense that only detects undetectable things, then you can make all kinds of statements. The problem is that none of these sorts of statements obey any standard of scrutiny. So a statement that I feel the presence of giant, invisible ball of spaghetti watching us from deep in outer space is just as valid as the supernatural statements made in the Bible or the Quran or the Talmud or Grimm's Book of Fairy Tales.

Now come on, the Grimms wrote about a sausage that cooks meals for a mouse and a bird. The FSM, however, promises an eternal beer volcano. No comparison.

I think everyone should have the right choose for themselves what they wish to believe.

Yes Linda Joy but they don't have the same right to facts and truth.
  • First, we sense that separation, that distance from God because of our sin. The Bible tells us that “All of us like sheep have gone astray; each of us has turned to his "own way.” Deep down, our attitude may be one of active rebellion or passive indifference toward God and his ways, but it’s all evidence of what the Bible calls sin. The result of sin in our lives is death -- spiritual separation from God. Although we may try to get close to God through our own effort, we inevitably fail. To set the mind on flesh is death. Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Hence, to set the mind on the spirit is peace. When you are without God and without spirit, your conscience judges you Romans 2:15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them. Romans 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. But Christ was sent to us, who not only wipes away the sin, but also overcomes death, and when you are baptised you die with Christ so that you will be raised with Christ, you take part in his death, so you will take part in resurrection. . See we are living in a world of flesh, and some want you to believe that is all it is, a material world, with no meaning other than do what thou wilt, and that it will come to an end, and that will be that; but the bible says otherwise, there is a purpose and you can be saved, your spirit can be guided by the Holy Spirit, you are the temple of God, and Christ makes that union possible with his mercy, in this world you can walk by the spirit. This is why lust is a sin against God because your body is the temple of God, that is why God cares who you unite yourself with. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Those who believe in Christ Jesus are already blood-bought new beings in Christ. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). But now we must become what we are. “Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened” (1 Corinthians 5:7). Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. See we are to become perfected and sinless, to live with God who is perfected and sinless, and loving. This world is far from all those things, you can see it now with the increase of sexual immorality, violence, vanity, destruction of the family unit etc. People are giving into their flesh and animal nature, the spirit and God is forgotten.
  • Take the time to observe creation and ask yourself “was this designed and created by an intelligent mind?”
  • You can make gods out of anything. In fact everything you put before God is making a god of it, whether it be work, exercise, food, money, your partner, your children, anything you put on a higher level than God you are making THAT your god. How you get to know the God of Abraham and Issac is to prayerfully read scripture. That's the God I worship.

  • Simple, the word "god" begins with a lowercase "g." Jesus said human beings are gods. (John 10:34) Though we were made in God's image, I am certainly no God, but a goddess indeed. -Jenny Rizzo

In Romans 1:20 it says, “ For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made,w even his eternal powerx and Godship,y so that they are inexcusable. • First thing is not to make it a purely intellectual thing as if you decided that God can't care about your actual behavior. You almost never find out what you aren't already willing to follow IF YOU FIND OUT.

  • You can’t and shouldn’t assume there is a god of anything. You have to use proper reasoning and understanding for all claims. Just because people say it is so doesn’t make it true. Truth above all!
  • Ask God. Have faith he's there and he will reveal himself to you repeatedly if you just open your mind to what you see.
  • Abraham Lincoln President of USA said: I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist. But I cannot conceive how a man could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.
    • bostjan64
That quote was penned by Frank Brickl, who claimed to have heard it from Gilbert Greene, who had written a compilation of Lincoln quotes in 1917 (which did not contain the quote in question). I point that out because it is a perfect example of how religion also spreads. Did you read the book Jesus wrote? Probably not, since His teachings, all of His quotes, etc. were written down several decades after He had died. What about the Quran? Was it not written by Muhammad's personal scribe? Yes, that's the story, but it does seem rather odd that Muhammad's personal scribe, in order to write the Quran, had to track down several people who had memorized it and transcribe their recitations, and was tasked to write it down because many of these Quran reciters had started wars by reciting something different than other. That was just a few years after Muhammad had died. I'm sorry, but if profound quote was never reported until after someone died, it's likely fake.

  • If an omnipotent benevolent god had created us and wanted us to know so, it could simply have us born with the knowledge of its existence, and what, if anything, it wants from us. This does not affect free will, because: 1) Even people who are 100 percent sure of their religion (the vast majority of people who have ever lived) still commit what their religion considers sins 2) The deity could still give us free will anyway, otherwise it wouldn't be omnipotent It would not use humans as prophets to get its message out, since clearly that channel of communication results in contradictory messages, and cannot be distinguished from messages that are not from the deity but only from the prophet (lies and insanity). The fact that there are many contradictory religions proves this beyond doubt. ` From this reasoning, I conclude that either a) we were not created by a deity at all, or b) we were created by one that is not omnipotent, omniscient, and/or benevolent, or c) we were created by a deity that doesn’t care if we know it created us and has no demands of us. I believe a) is correct.
