  • We would be pretty crowded down here and forced to find another planet or planets to inhabit, or go to underground cities. It may be great if we did not grow physically frail and look old Can you arrange for me to try the beta version?
  • Big overpopulation problem. Would earth be able to sustain us all? Besides that, the philosophical, social and economic questions are tremendous.
  • Over population and people would never grief on a person's death, criminals would have to be held infinite in jails, due to that they can't die. We would have to try to live underground, or find survival in other planets. World would be chaotic.
  • We'd be simply crazy - Those are the only words I can think to say
  • The world would get a bit cluttered, britain would sink into the sea under the weight of all the grannies.
  • The number of auto accidents and related deaths, would be astronomical. I would resign.
  • umm jobs would run out
  • People would have to live under the sea, Under the sea, There are no accusations, Just friendly crustaceans Under the sea!! sorry, I broke into song.
  • there wouldn't be any room left.
  • Suicide would become a respected ritual. Birth Control, Euthanasia, and boredom for those left behind. Plus a standard of living somewhat lower than a chimpanzee!
  • Mortality is the one saving grace for the planet. It's all that keeps the whole thing from going to hell in a handbasket. Think of how prolonging the life of an 85 year-old person who 40 years ago would have died from high blood pressure, heart disease, liver disease, or some other ailment that is perfectly expectable at that age, will effect the economy, heatlth care, family structures, the whole nine. Do 80 year-old men really need to have daily sex and procreate? Hell. I don't even need, or get, that NOW! at 37. This is why social security is screwed and why we will NEVER have socialized medicine like Canada or Sweden or any rational place. Use that medical knowlege to save children or cure SOMETHING besides totally natural male erectile problems at age 80+. Anyway, you see what I'm getting at. My soap box is starting to creak. I hope it's not too obvious that I believe in the term "surplus population". Watch a Jerry Springer episode, you'll see lots of 'em.
  • I'd NEVER get to work.
  • The earth would be really REALLY crowded. Plus, we'd have to not age past a certain point! Imagine the earth just all full of old people. We'd not know what we were doing or where we were going! I think there are enough young people in those conditions as it is! I don't know how we'd fit everybody on land, either! We'd run out of room! It just wouldn't work whatsoever!
  • You mean I'd be married to my wife for infinity?
  • It would be fabulously wonderful- AFTER we find a way to get to other earth like planets (or create them since we have the seeds to do so). There is virtually infinite space and stars out there to keep moving out into.
  • Besides extreme overpopulation and extreme hunger, people would be a lot more unsafe and violant without the fear of death. The human race would go into a major slump and have crime and mayhem as demand for deminishing produces increased. In short, death is what keeps everyone sane.
  • It would be kind of nice that people could always be with their loved ones, but at the same time extremely impractical - people would have to live in harsh conditions due to overcrowding in hospitable conditions. Some would have to live in houses excavated underground as there would be so many. Hopefully people would be sensible and have less children if noone departed.
  • It would great because we would be able to see our loved ones. It would be bad because the earth would become very, very crowded.
  • the world would be a pain in the ass it would be overcrowed
  • Depends would never, ever go out of business. They'd probably be the most successful business in the world.
  • over population, over pollution, bigger wars, and bordom
  • The world would be overcrowded and we would be forced to live in the sky, sea, space and would have had to develop more sustainable ways of living! We would also have to stop ageing!! Although death is certain and a necessary part of life it would be lovely to always have your loved ones by your side.
  • You would have to build new highways with a max speed limit of 5 mph for all the slow pokes!! (Oh that wasn't nice at all.)
  • Well i look at it this way if people didnt die there would be mass confusion and a lot of mean ugly looking folks walking around
  • Most of us would not be here because they would have had to put mandatory steralization into play decades ago so as to keep everyone from over polulating the world...
  • My ideas cover natural death. If people were indestructable this wouldn't be the case. I'm a Sci-Fi geek and have thought about this a lot. With advances in genetic tech I think this will be the case in the future. I think imortality should be a gift bestowed only on the most worthy people by merrit. Such as invent something, found a corporation, be a popular figure and be voted in, etc- you get 100 or so more years. Then if you outlive your usefulness you are tracked down and executed. That wouldn't be murder as you already outlived your natural lifespan and the extra years are a gift that has stopped giving. Otherwise people will do nothing to put themself in possible harms way; drive, etc. or ever leave the house or go to work for fear of an accident. Death allows us to live. We know that no matter what, we will soon die so go out and live. The worst that can happen is you miss out on the next 80-100 years. Without death you would worry about missing the next 1,000,000. Eventualy the "imortal" people's bodies will live in a bunker and interact with the world through telepresence like a spirit in the body of robot, so they can "live" in this dangerous world in safety.
  • The earth would become overly heavy and shift off of it's natural orbital path and we would all freeze or burn to death.
  • by now the world would be seriously overcrowded and disease would be rife!
  • I agree with you in regards to longetivity, but the rest makes semi-nice fiction. We will live forever in the near future and it will be just fine...
  • It would be a very "wrinkly" world. LOL
  • never ending wars and overpopulation
  • Kinda strage logistics. Well, if i interpret correctly, That would be bad for those who have disease or anything that cause long term suffering. But thats an interesting question! you got me wondering now!
  • sex would be outlawed because of overpopulation.
  • It would get VERY crowded.
  • I imagine there would be a lot of really old people around. It would be interesting to get first-hand accounts of history from those who had lived it.
  • We will never know!
  • Michael Jackson would still die.
  • The last Harry Potter book would have sucked.
  • There would be a lot less squabbling about Jesus. There would also be no benefit or punishment associated with heaven or hell.
  • The world would become outrageous because places would be overpopulated, people would try things they wouldn't try before, and most of all there would be people working less harder because they have more time to fit in things. Places would have to have a close to an unlimited supply of goods because the population increasing. Life would have to happen on other places (such as planets) because we wouldn't have enough room here on Earth to support all the people.
  • The world would get so crowded that the term "sex crimes" would take on a whole new meaning, as in: its a crime to have sex because you might cause a pregnancy and we'd all get packed a little tighter.
  • There would be no cementeries, no crematories, no funeral parlors, no undertakers, no funeral directors, no hearses...oh, my! And entire area of our economy would go under and we would have to bail out
  • There would be a lot of miserable old people around. 260 years old and falling apart, and still can't die.
  • A lot more war!
  • Traffic would be terrible!
  • the earth wouldn't be a world, you could probably see people if you were in outer space. it would be horrible
  • Insanity would abound. No death would be like living hell. After a few hundred years you would get extremely bored. Not to mention if you got severely injured and couldn't die, years and years of excruciating pain, no thanks. Also, dictators like Kim or Stalin would go on and on forever.
  • i shudder to think of it...God made sure that wouldn't happen anyway..
  • The planet would start to stink, fast.
  • The world would be overpopulated.
  • You would get tired of being in a body. And eventually all space would fill up and you would wish for and end.
