I think it's suppose to be that only children hear it because we have more sensible ear drums than adults. It's like an errie sound that adults swear they can't hear.

I don't think it does work. Its just another money making ring tone scheme. Its just a high pitched sound that can supposedly only be heard by people with good hearing. The creators of this ringtone seem to think that only young people have good hearing. For the sake of humanity DO NOT BUY IT.

It is extremely high pitched. A guy in my geology class had that ringtone and all of us younger folk were able to hear it. The teacher kept on lecturing without hearing it. Because she's older, she was unable to pick up the high pitched sound. I hate it personally. It hurts my ears.
