Is there anything sexier than old leather-bound books in a room lined with dark wooden bookcases, the reassuring tick of a grandfather clock and deep leather armchairs bathed in candlelight? A roaring log fire, a decanter of fine malt whisky, the crackle of the fire while the storm rages outside the window. Safely ensonced inside, two lovers gaze at each other in the heat and sensual glow of the flames and candles...oh, I think I got a bit carried away there.

Install a "make-out" room, which includes: soft lighting, a mini-bar, 70's decor and Barry White on vinyl, or you could introduce "any-thing goes" fridays, (which I leave to open suggestion), or wait a minute, maybe libraries are FOR RESEARCH & STUDYING.

Hang pinup girl pictures all around the walls. Allow cubicles with couches where couples can go in to do their reading. The long reading room tables are in somewhat crowded areas. Doesn't allow for enough privacy!

I would work on the design of all the furniture. You know the area where people go read newspapers and magazines and they usually have chairs there? Well, I would replace those with curved chairs or couches that had red fabric, very sexy looking. I'd add some modern lighting to enhance the appearance of that area also. See link for couches and chairs: http://images.google.com/images?q=curved+couches+images&rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7ADBS_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=UFEUS9TAFMPJlAfrurSRBA&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CB4QsAQwAA
