I put stuff I don't want anyone else to steal from me. I'm possessive over my food, sadly, so it usually is the last snack bag of trail mix or something. There are also a bunch of papers I need for things, that I put there so I remember... I usually forget. (One of the few people who uses refridgerator magnets...)

I first answered this question in March of 2007....and today, almost two years later, I realize that I misread the question. I was answering "what do you have on top of your refrigerator".... The true answer: The door is covered with several kind of half full/half empty bottles of mayonnaise, ketchup, Emeril BBQ Sauce (excellent!), egg tray (it is empty!, I will get some later today), Sandwich Spread, Miracle Whip, mustard, salad dressing, American cheese slices, turkey ham and a few other things.....

We have lots of pet food treats there, although now one of our kittens has figured a way to hop up there. I guess we'll have to move them now!

All the mother;s day cards and poems my kids made for me. I replace them with their new ones the following Mothers Day.
-
Mostly magnets from the past years, chimney sweep companies in far off cities that I no longer live, dentist offices I no longer visit, and pizza delivery places that are 3000 miles away. Every time we move I throw all the magnets from the fridge in with the silverware and then put them back on the fridge when we get to the new place. This has happened for me about 7 times now. There are a few pictures of the family randomly stuck up there, as well as a recent report card or award from the kids.

It has "zones". I have a side by side refrigerator. One side has photos in magnet frames with a detailed list of names & numbers of kid's friends, and family members on the other side. (great when trying to track them down) Under that, is the daily school lunch menu. On the other side, is my emergency information-such as age/weight/allergies/meds/dr's, contact numbers, and labeled photos so an emergency worker can tell who is who. It's folded and labeled "emergency info", as this is the first place EMT's look. (contact so-in-so first) Under that is a dry eraser board for groceries and then upcoming field trips under that. It sounds messy-but since everything is contained in a frame and held in place- it looks good and is organized. My best helper is the dry eraser calendar board nailed to the kitchen door that leads to the garage. That tells me where to be when as I'm going out the door.

I liked how it looked before we found the magnets, so we have kept it empty. I don't think it will last much longer. Hubby has been complianing about were to hang notes.

Those little flat plastic magnets, advertising different products and services. We use it to hold up snippets of photos and drawings. There is so much on the door, that sometimes when I open the door for a glass of milk or something, photos and magnets just fall off crashing to the floor.
