My work friend coaches hockey and in doing so had to transport some of his team members to the various games. One such transport saw him driving several team members on a cold winter night when a cop car comes up behind and puts its lights on. My friend stops, rolls his window down and the cop asks him for his licence and registration. In the mean time the team members are giving their coach a hard time about being stopped.Lots of laughs and heckling etc. making it difficult for coach to locate his required papers. He finally finds the paper and passes it to the Cop.Cop looks at it,then back at my friend and says "Well,Sir, its nice you have a library card but I need your licence and registration." Poor coach, the laughter lasted all evening.

I always have it in my wallet. I love libraries.
-
Yup. Always. I love the library!!! I am a reader for sure.
-
No, but I have one. :-)
-
Nope. I got banned from the library. I returned a library book, on time, and then I received a phone call from them telling me that they hadn't received it and that I would be fined. I told them that I did, in fact, return it. They said, "Well we don't have it, so you still need to pay". So I paid the fine anyway. Then I received another phone call a few weeks later, telling me that I must pay for the book I had 'taken' from the library. I called them and told them I already paid the fine. They said they didn't care that I already paid the fine, I needed to pay for the book to be replaced since I stole it. The price was outrageous for one book that I had already given back, so I told them where to stick their fine, and they banned me. No more libraries for me.

I do.
-
No, I don't. Our local library is very small. It only carries books for children and young teens.
-
almost everywhere i go :)
-
yes. I live just in the corner of the library and going there often. I like to reading a lot, but not all the books deserve to be bought :)!

Yes. It's an electronic card, so I can use it at any branch library in our district system.
-
Yes, as a matter of fact, I carry 2 in my wallet. My local library is quite good. I also have one for the "national" library which has an amazing amount of resources and services.

Yes, more than one, in fact. I live in a large city, and we have the choice of public, city and county libraries. I had cards for all of them. When I was in the military, it became a tradition for me to have a library card not only for the on-base library, but also for the local community outside of the base, even overseas (on Okinawa, it was written completely in Japanese, including my name). I'm proud to say I've gotten myself a library card in every place I;ve ever lived, even if I was only going to be there a short while.
-
Yes i carry my library card with me. +5
-
Yes I always have it. When I go into the library it is like going into a store. I check so many books out that I need a bag to carry them all in.
-
Yes, and I use it a lot too.

been banned see, when I was like, 10?, I was accused of not returning a book, which I swear I did...but late fees added up and added up and the library refused to let me (i.e. my parents) pay to replace the book--they wanted their stinking fees, which had somehow gotten to be over 70 dollars for a book that, we checked, would cost 6, 7 dollars max to buy brand new I did get other library cards of course, but I live in the same place I was original banned, and there are multiple branches, but they're updated their system, so they know if I was banned at one branch. if they keep this up, the whole country will know i've been banned. and no, they still won't let me replace the book, they want hundreds of dollars in late fees, crazy idiots.

yes, but i don't remember the last time i used it...
