My town (Burlington, Ia) has gone from 35,000 to 25,000 population due to factory layoffs. At this rate we could be next...+5

A small town about 20 miles from me called Birds. In 1996 Birds was hit by a horrific flood. FEMA aid bought out the damaged homes. The damaged homes were knocked down and cleared away. All that remains are a few houses, mobile homes, and two churches. Most of the residents have moved away. Only 30 people remain.

Calico. It's in southern Califoria and as long as I've heard of it, it has been called a Ghost Town. I've never been there! For all I know it is a lively place...a party hearty town! :) :)

we have a ghost town in NZ, its a small mining village, that was thriving in the 1800's, its a long trek into the mountains in the southern alps, I walked it, or tramped it about 35 years ago with my then boyfriend, it was called macetown, quite erry and spooky, I would love to go back now and pick up the feelings,...........
