How can you tell if bleu cheese has gone bad?

http://www.judysbook.com/members/1221/questions/3822/ Blue cheese will actually develop a yellowish tint/mold that will cover the surface. Plus, it may give off a ammonia like odor. Generally you call tell if its gone bad because it smells horrid. Also, it may get a little slimy. If in doubt throw it out- I usually don't like to take the risk.
