My parents wont let me get my tragus pierced because they think it looks trashy... what do you think?

i just got mine done today. i personally think they look fine. just dont crowd it around with other ear peircings then it starts to look bad.

I have to disagree with the whole "it looks trashy".. I've had mine done for years and have had MANY people compliment them.. old and young alike. If you're 18 you can do what you want with your body.. but I always seemed to go by what my parents wanted.. luckily they weren't as closed minded as a lot of people are.

If you are 18 or older, it doesn't really matter much what they think. If not, wait until you get there.

Piercings all depend on a person's face. A friend of mine has two lip rings, i could never pull that off. Another friend has two nose rings in one side of her nose, i couldn't do that either. just, weight of what you have on your face, you know? If i get a lip ring, I know I'd get it on the left, because I have some freckles on the right side of my face. Whether it's trashy or not, it'll be the same when you turn 18 or move out or whatever that they can't stop you. you may as well wait. Get a magnetic or clip-on and see what some others think in the meantime.

You need to be who you are. If you like those, then do it for you, it's not about them, and if you change ur mind later, take it out. There's a whole lot worse things you could be out doing than getting your tragus pierced. Maybe back in their day, piercing and tats were more trashy. Tell them to get with the times, and if they judge people by things like that, then that is their problem.

i have mine done. if they dont want you to get it done then wait till your legally able to. i personally think they are ADORABLE. i am not trashy. i am a 20 year old college kid that works for a high end stock brokage firm. so if you parents think thats trashy, well then they have another thing coming.

I used to pierce ears for a living. Make sure you have someone who doesn't hit a nerve because it will always hurt. There are nerve endings in there. Otherwise, it's safe enough.

I am only 14 i got my tragus pierced on both ears for my 14th birthday. Everybody sayz they r so cute!!!!

i say if you really want it then get it any way. they don't look trashy they are unique. and if you don't like it after you get it pierced you can easily take it out like any other piercing.

i have had my tragus pierced for a while & i think they're a great piercing. of course, i might look a little trashy, but i think it's a very hip piercing. it can be discreet if you have long hair or wear a retainer & it's a cool alternative to a cartilage piercing.
