Best breakup album *ever* is Paulmac's "3000 Feet High". Another of his songs from his next album, Panic Room, called "It's Not Me, It's You" is also a brilliant empowering breakup song. :) From Track 2 of 3000 Feet High ("Just the Thing"): "Well you came and said your goodbyes And I'm sitting here thinking; With a smile I'm dying inside, But I know I'll be just fine. I see love not lies But I could be mistaken. Now you've gone and I dry my eyes And I'm here for the taking tonight..." Track 3 is titled "See You Much Later," track 4 is titled "This Is The Sound of Breaking Up"... and it's all brilliant house music mixed by one of Australia's, and the world's, best DJs. :) It wasn't just my favourite breakup album, it was my favourite album of all time for about three years. :)

"stronger" by the sugarbabes. It really helped me. You tube it. It's the best one but the vid is protected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2fyLK5JsEk "smile" by lily allen. It's a fun one and quite empowering despite the first 30 seconds of her scoffing choc, it tells her story of becoming empowered after the breakup. and one for the boys...."dry your eyes mate" by the streets. Good British classics.

Something totally different: the very fun "F*ck You" by Lily Allen. A cheerful, bouncy happy song with hilarious lyrics which is actually about bigots, but could be equally be applied to a stubborn or arrogant ex. :) M15+ language warning. :)

Dan Hicks How can I miss you when you Wont Go! I've talked to your mother and I've talked to your dad, They say they've tried but it's all in vain. I've begged and I've pleaded, I even got mad, Now we must face it, you give me a pain. cho: How can I miss you when you won't go away? I keep telling you day after day, But you won't listen, you always stay and stay, How can I miss you when you won't go away? Out of three billion people, why must it be me? OhOh why, oh why won't you cut me loose? D Do me a favor and listen to my plea I'm not the only chicken in the roost. Your never-ending presence really cramps my style, I dream that it won't always be the same. At first I was attracted, but after a while, Have you ever heard of a "hard to get" dame?"
