No. Allow Darwins law... survival of the fittest!!! Sooner or later we would all be such good drivers there would be no accidents!!!

Germany has no speed limit on the autobahn, HOWEVER they have drunk driving laws that would make your head spin. First DUI, loss of drivers license for a year, a 4500 Euro fine (US$2000)and your have to go to driving school again to get your license back, another 1000 Euros. Second DUI, a year in prison and you lose your license FOREVER! Driving without a license after you lost it because of a DUI, 4 years in prison. So! Yes lets have open speed limits, if we also have the German DUI laws as well, because I don't want to be on the roads anywhere near a drunk doing 120 mph.

Most are called Highways, though Freeway is still on the books. But It used to be called buggy trails, that started it all lol.
