It's all about the superstition huh? Superstition is all about believing in something without knowledge or reason. Maybe they just think that it's lucky/unlucky. I recommend to read about Superstition here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superstition

Superstition..13 is my favorite number..and my birthday and..it's on friday this year..Nothing unlucky about that..well..on second thought..I will be older that day..thats unfortunate..but..still nothing unlucky about it..LOL :)

For me it is related to religion and is not bad luck. I know that it is actually a lucky number. I think the unlucky aspect to this number came from early Christianity, when at the last supper with Jesus and his disciples, the 13th disciple to sit at the table was Judas who betrayed Jesus.
