My dad had renal cancer and passed away at age 61 in 1983. By the time the doctors found out what was causing his weight loss and nausea, it was too late. I still can't conceive that they could miss a 5 inch tumor on his kidney. It had gone into stage 4 by then. I always thought it had something to do where he worked in a paper factory. Back in the 40's and 50's they didn't have OSHA to oversee safe working conditions and he was probably exposed to many different chemicals used in the paper making process. He also smoked cigars and a pipe now and then (no cigarettes though).
