Really, I'm a quarter. But that quiz is telling me I'm 85% which is hilarious. I loved it, I'm getting my dad to do it. Swearing, potatoes, guiness. And god, Irish funerals involve a lot of drinking. At my granny's wake, the priest was the drunkest person in the room.

I used to say I was because my father was Scotch/Irish, but then I got old enough to realize that because I was adopted, I might not be Irish at all. Turns out, I'm not.
-
60% Irish I'm really about 15% Irish....
-
"You are too French to be Irish, although the respective tendency towards alcoholism and getting pissed off, having something against the English (And everyone else.) including your love of les pommes de terre and striped clothing might relate you, your snobbish attitude totally separates you in a league of your own. Plus you smoke too damn much." Oh no, wrong test... "You're 25% Irish You're not Irish. Not even a wee bit. Not even on St. Patrick's Day! "
-
i personally know I am not Irish at all.... unless my viking ancestors did something over there..... The test says 15% - not at all - go figure.....

You're 40% Irish You're probably less Irish than you think you are... But you're still more Irish than most. I think it's caused more by my drinking habits, though.

Cool, I'm 40%... Although my Mam was Irish so it should be 50% =P We never really celebrated St Patrick's day except with those ugly little St Pat pins Granny sent us and various bits of green clothing. And since I don't live in an English speaking country no one else celebrated it either. What we did and do celebrate on that day is my brother's birthday! (Guess what his name is. Go on, guess!) Off on a tangent there, sorry... Eire go bragh!

I would say I am passively Irish. I am more just me than any one ethnicity. If hobbits are Irish (the Shire), I am quite Irish. (looks at hairy feet)
-
Ok .. quiz says I'm 40% Irish. Also said: << You're probably less Irish than you think you are... But you're still more Irish than most. >> Which turns out to be right given this ... I do genealogy & ancestor hunting, so from that angle .. looking at four grandparents? -- Paternal grandfather - German -- Paternal grandmother - English -- Maternal grandfather - Irish -- Maternal grandmother - German So, 25% Irish. But somehow the English part was never talked about when growing up .. but the German and Irish sure were. Traditions in the family from both of those. This question was asked a year ago, but fitting to answer it now .. in March .. with St Patrick's Day coming soon. Thanks for the fun quix. Three cheers for Guinness. :)

Supposedly some Irish in my ancestry somewhere...but before any of my grandparents. (Note: supposedly some American and Canadian Aboriginals, supposedly some French, supposedly some English, etc. All of these things predate my grandparents, who were all born in the Americas.)
