When it comes to myself, I am a saver. When it comes to my kids (who are all grown), I am a spender, they seem to get anything I save for myself. A habit I really need to break.

Saver and as a child we were bordering on lower middle class. Today we might have improvised it to middle class!

I am a wanna-be spender, married to a neo-saver wife. If it wasn't for her, I would be standing in a soup line right now (wait a minute... ...this IS a soup line! DOH!) As to my family's financial sitiuation as a child - hillbilly middle-class.

I'm a saver. It's the reason why I am debt-free and have some savings despite my low salary. My family was poor. We could hardly make both ends meet.

I'm a saver but my wife is a spender so that leaves us without any savings but also without debt. Growing up , I'd say we were upper-middle.
