  • Of coarse if youve seen how big space is and scientist say each star is a sun and may have plants orbiting it like earth so there maybe be another earth like planet around. excuse the spelling errors
  • Definitely. It is very egocentric and arrogant to think we are somehow the only life forms in the universe. Unfortunately, it is human nature to want to believe we are somehow different and special.
  • Yes! There are roughly 100 billion stars per galaxy, and hundreds of billions of galaxies, so even if there was only one planet per galaxy on which life existed (highly unlikely though; I think there must be more than one) then, there would still be literally hundreds of billions of planets with life on them. I don't think we are alone in the universe.
  • yes. there are others in the universe. we should not be so sure that we are the only ones. they probably think that we are to centerd on ourselves. waiting for us to grow up.
  • Yup, We are just a little grain of sand in a whole ocean of universe. It's being egocentrric to think we are the only intelegent life form out in the universe. We just can't contact them because the distance.
  • I think it would be arrogant or perhaps naive to think that we are the only ones around. I can also see why they have not decided to come visit us!
  • I guess I am arrogant, I believe we are all there is. Besides, who cares? Not me. But it is a good question, I suppose.
  • Statistically, I'd have to say "yes". Otherwise that's a lot of wasted real estate. Seeing the chaos on Earth, I hope there is someone else out there, and I'm glad they are not in our backyard!
  • Almost certainly, given the size of the Universe. But given that same size, and our current knowledge of physics, it may be that we can never meet.
  • I beleive that the possiblity is there and that if we are made to live on this planet why can't other life exist on other planets and be made to exist in that atmosphere. All is possible.
  • Absolutely. There is astounding evidence that points to that fact within the scientific community's. There is some theoretical cause for speculation that we may have been visited already by aliens throughout our history.
  • Yea sure. I believe we are not alone. Isnt the Roswell crash enough to convince you of that?
  • I believe if we're here, then why shouldnt there be other lif on the billins and trillions of planets? Even if that other life is nowhere near simular to us. We know practicly nothing of space http://www.ufocasebook.com/Roswellpictures.html
  • Yes, everywhere you point. Al kinds of lifeformes and even planets up to 100% equal to this one; including you, me and Answerbag. It only takes about forever to reach these planets. The universe is ENDLESS, with an ENDLESS amount of mass and possibilities(if the "big bang" happened here, it can happen anywhere.) Because space can't be anything else but infinit; infinity is the only proof I need.
  • I cannot be fully sure, but it seems incredibly possible. There are so many stars out there that could act as a sun to other plantes, and there are so many galaxies out there similar to ours, why would ours be the only one with life?
  • Yes because DrLaura had to come from an other galaxy. I don't know of any one other then her who puts more people down then she does.
  • Yes. The universe is so vast that I think it'd be foolish to say we're the only form of life.
  • I think there is life in our galaxy.
  • It's life Jim, but not as we know it.
  • I try not to have a closed mind about anything.
  • There has to be. I am sure there is but I'm not sold on the concept of light travel or hyperdrive though. We may never know. I'm back again. I had never been to a class BA-3 planet before. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a beam of light to catch.
  • Yes. The universe is too vast for there not to be.
  • "amino acids and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) have been found....evidence continues to grow that nanobacteria do exist" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ALH84001#Possible_lifeforms "methane was detected in the Martian atmosphere" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrobiology There are roughly 10^20 stars in this universe, every star will have orbiting planets. In our solar system alone we have one form of life and probably another, how many more are probable?
  • I suspect that there are some forms of organisms out there somewhere.
  • Cource there is where do you think Dr.Laura came from. She is NOT from Earth, she is from another planet far, far, far, away.
  • Absolutely. All that space has to have SOMETHING- us, puny, meaningless humans can't be the ONLY intelligent life out there. Especially in other galaxies. We just don't know about them because we haven't gotten there yet.
  • I believe there are life out there.Somewhere in the galaxies.Far away.....They could be dead somehow. But we must find them. They could be sucked up by the black hole. The metteror may be some parts of their planet after being sucked up.Next century,Wormhole may be invented, but it is immposible. To find them we have to race with light.Teleportation, the fastest....That is all i have to say....
  • Humans? Hell no... there is no chance that there is a planet out there which is the same as ours. No chance whatsoever. Life forms? i think there isn't, not due to arrogance, but due to the endlessly small probability of life existing at all. There will be, and there was, before and after the Earth ever existed, but i dont think there is right now at this very second.
  • Haven't you seen the documentary called StarWars?
  • im very open minded to the posibility. youre in for a real shock one day if you actually believe that in a universe as large as ours, that we are the only beings.
  • Its possible but very unlikely as a few factors play on our favor to be the dominant species on earth, remember the Tyrannosaurus Rex?
  • Certainly, I believe that it is quite possible. The universe is so massive its hard to believe that there wouldn't be other life forms out there.
  • yes(maybe) because i saw the news at yahoo that they found an old galaxy which made me think that maybe species there evolved as we did
  • Yes indeed! ... but I hardly believe they would be shitting in their own nest as do we ... Peace
  • I am certain there is other inteligent life out there. some more advanced some less. wether or not interstelar travel is possible is up for debate. at present the only thrust power we have is to throw matter in the opposite direction... the ability to turn energy into thrust without spending matter (IF POSSIBLE) is the first step to interstellar travel. if not possible then even travel within our own solarsystem will probably always remain rediculously expencive.
  • LOL........No.
  • Not humans. But given the vastness of the cosmos, it seems very possible that other life exists out there somewhere.
