Multiple times. I spent a weekend in a cabin just outside of Redmond, Oregon. Also at Lake Almanore in California, Lake Tahoe California, Palm Springs California, and also in Monterey California. These are just the secluded cabins. It is a must and I will do it again and again.

We live in a secluded cabin in the woods next to a beaver pond and creek. It's always romantic here. The bedroom feels like a treehouse getaway. EDIT: new photo is bearlike, Rayne, the Newfoundland, guarding the house

Yes, over Christmas to boot...it was great but it didn't end in a forever committment....it was special though so I cherish the memory and thank you for reminding me because it was so long ago...special nonetheless

A week in Maine actually. No TV, electricity. Fireplace for heat at night (in August). On a lake. Sunrise on the lake. Fire and marshmellows at night. Fishing during the day. Cooking them up at night on a stone grill. Nice bottle of red wine. Snuggling and smooching and ....great time. We didn't exactly rough it (it wasn't the Plaza), but it was a great escape.
