  • (Ecclesiastes 3, verses 1–8). To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
  • It IS unfair
  • I would remind you of one thing. Little children are innocent before God. This means that when they die they return to Him. Those children that die before they can gain an understanding of right and wrong are so precious to Him that He doesn't want to take any chances with them. So, He takes them home to Him before they can be sullied by sin. I don't know why it is that some are so special as to merit this, but they do. I also know that it can be hard on those that are left here to continue the struggle to live as God asks of us, but take comfort in the fact the children who die thus are assured a place with God for eternity.

This sounds good but is NOT accurate according to scripture... ALL the dead, adults and children are subject to Ecclesiastes 9: 5,6,10... And remain only in Jehovah;s memory...from which they can be resurrected... The clergy of false religion do the parents [of children that have died ] no favours when they blame God for taking the child away... and conveniently never mention Satan as the basic cause of death.

I am going to respectfully disagree with you. Based on your comment, I assume that you are a Jehovah's Witness. I respect your right to believe as you wish, but my religion interprets the Book of Ecclesiastes different from you. If you really want to argue about it, I can cite a number of scripture that refer to the dead having awareness and calling for God to administer just to those who wronged them. However, I prefer not to argue over religion because I have long experience in just how futile that is. Thus, my preference to just respectfully say that I disagree with you on this. Have a good day. :-)

Hi Glenn...You are correct...and the reason I am is because of how our religion bases everything on scripture...and not on all the traditions put forward by ' false' religion... Have a read of my answer to Linda regarding her cited scriptures...cheers... Pugs.
  • Jehovah God cannot be held responsible... It is important to know HOW death started... It was with Adam andEve...who would have never died if it were not for DISOBEDIENCE... (Genesis 2:16, 17) Jehovah God also gave this command to the man:
  • Because everything that lives, must die. We do not get to choose when we are born so why when we can die? You're just overtly sensitive.

Hi jshm...Death is a temporary situation that will be put right...all in good time...(1 Corinthians 15:26) And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. This is God's promise... Just because it has happened to all of us since Adam and Eve, right up till now, does not mean it will continue... (1 Corinthians 15:26) And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. (1 Corinthians 15:54, 55) But when this which is corruptible puts on incorruption and this which is mortal puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: ?Death is swallowed up forever.? 55 ?Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting??
  • Is it really so unfair that the children get to go be with God and never have to suffer again?
    • pugwashjw65
Fair comment Linda...but Jehovah has all his angels...already created and operating...children are not needed in heaven but are remembered by Jehovah and will be resurrected...to continue a joyful life on the earth...Psalm 37:29 They are NOT part of the wicked that will be destroyed forever...Psalm 37:9...hope you read these and have faith in scripture.
    • Linda Joy
I said nothing about angels. I'd like to suggest you read Gen. 24:67.; Romans 12:15 and 16 I don't want your religion I have my own.
    • pugwashjw65
Hi Linda..You did say " be with God"...that can only mean to be in heaven with him...but scripture states that only 144,000 have that privilege..Rev. 7;4 & 14:1. All others who have ever lived have the 'second' chance at life on the earth, through the resurrection, Revelation 7:9...Anmd this is your Gen. 24:67...(Genesis 24:67) After that Isaac brought her into the tent of Sarah his mother. Thus he took Re?bekʹah as his wife; and he fell in love with her, and Isaac found comfort after the loss of his mother. This seems to have nothing to do with loss of children. And (Romans 12:15, 16) Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. 16 Have the same attitude toward others as toward yourselves; do not set your mind on lofty things, but be led along with the lowly things. Do not become wise in your own eyes. More to do with our own self importance...which we should avoid... Consider this...ALL scripture should be viewed to get a proper outlook, and not taken in isolation...Have a nice day...Pugs.

I'm not reading your comments anymore and if you preach at me again I'm going to flag your comment as offensive or spam or something. Stop trying to force your religion on people who don't want to hear it.

Hi Linda...you have just given me a " do not call again" notice...and I will respect that...but do not expect that I will cease answering general questions on this forum...I simply will not direct my comments at you... From a scriptural standpoint, there can be only one correct answer...cheers...pugs.

  • *** WHAT WENT WRONG What has been the result of Adam

Deb, this is the history of Adam as related in Genesis chapter 1-3, God's only restriction on him, and thereby his wife Eve, was not to eat the fruit of knowledge that was in the middle of the garden, on pain of death. That being the case, Adam had the potential to live forever. Satin enticed Eve to eat the fruit and then gave some to her husband, who ate it also. This broke the command laid down by their God and so they lost not only their ability to live forever, but, also all their offspring. 1 Corinthians 15:21 "For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead".ASV The NWT says "For since death came through a man, resurrection of the dead also comes through a man". both versions shows that because of Adams actions we were doomed to experience death. But, the question is; did God create Adam and Eve to die? Some Preachers say yes, some say no, The Bible is very clear on this, there are so many scriptures about God's thoughts on death, but let me just share one in Rev, 21: 4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away". So basically because of Adams actions we have to endure the punishment of death, but at some time in the near future Rev, 21: 4 shows that death will be no more and if there is no death how long will we be able to live? I hope this helps to answer in part some of your questions.
